Robby Hague Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Robert Hague Memorial Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization named in honor Robert Hague Jr (1985-2009). Robert (Robby) Graham Hague, Jr. Veshio.
The Fund is dedicated to keeping Robby's memory alive by providing scholarships to local students who share Robby's love of learning. graduated from Quaker Valley High School in 2003 and died unexpectedly on July 24, 2009. Last night we awarded four exceptional young men and women the Robby Hague Memorial Scholarship. Robby was all about learning and to quote Everest Gray, one of the winners “if you want something- make it happen; if you lack the skill - learn”. That just sums it up!!!

The scholarship committee is busy reviewing the applications we received for the 2024 scholarship. Applicants are requested to submit an essay regarding their pursuit of auto-didactism, ie self-education. It’s a pleasure to read the essays each year! The scholarship awardees will be announced during the QVHS awards night in May.

They were pieced, quilted and donated by my incredibly, talented friend, Debbie Hlopek Vincent, who is a Quaker Valley Alum.

This year we decided to do a Christmas in July Robby Hague Memorial Scholarship Virtual Fundraiser! These are our 3 Christmas-themed packages:
- First prize: Christmas Snuggles (valued at $500+)
- Second prize: Holiday Pre-Season Cheer (valued at $350)
- Third prize: Homerun for Santa (valued at $200)
Winners will be drawn August 1st at 7pm.

All proceeds will go to the Robby Hague Memorial Scholarship Fund, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. To date, the fund has given 25 scholarships to Quaker Valley graduating seniors, two defibrillators and 40 heart monitors to the Quaker Valley athletic department. Donations are made annually to Sewickley Public Library, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Heart Research, and the American Heart Association totaling over $96,500.
Tuesday evening we presented The 2022 Robby Hague Memorial Scholarship to four outstanding Quaker Valley High School seniors: Markus Frank, Spencer Clifford, Hayden Earlewine and Sara Ruhl. (Also pictured is J.J. Veshio, QV teacher and Robby’s life-long best friend and Robby’s Mom, Susie Abercrombie). They all epitomize a little part of Robby. We are so very proud of them and look forward to seeing their accomplishments in their next chapter of life. Good luck in your college endeavor and make us proud🎓📚
