Izabelle Mack, along with the ATC is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, April 23, 8 am – 2 pm. Izabelle is a senior at Eminence and a health science student at the ATC. She has organized as her senior Passion Project. She will also be awarded scholarship dollars from the blood center based on the number of units collected.
Please sign up to give blood and help Izzy make her senior project a success and help save up to 3 lives at the same time.

Today is the start of Dental Assistant Appreciation Week. Dental assistants are the backbone of the dental office, playing a critical role in our oral health journeys. SCPS is celebrating our Health Science Pathway!

This program is at The Shelby County Area Technology Center and is an introduction to all areas of healthcare. You can choose a direct focus as a State Registered Nurse Aide, Dental Assistant, Phlebotomist, EKG, and Clinical Medical Assistant.

We want to introduce you to one of our Health Science ambassadors, Dulce Hernandez! Dulce wants to continue in her pathway after graduation and become a dentist.

She says, "Being in this pathway has helped me understand and explore the world of Health Care but also helped me become a professional by knowing HIPPA, being responsible, and being a good test taker."

SCATC HOSA future health science professionals, is collecting food to benefit Touched Twice the entire month of February ❤️. Please consider dropping off your donation to the school today.

Destiny Summitt was in the Health Science program and completed the Dental pathway at The Shelby County Area Technology Center. She graduated from Shelby County High School in 2019 and currently works at Integrity Dentistry.

It is great to see our students using their pathway as they continue on into career. Destiny, keep up the great work!

Shelby County ATC will be hosting an Open House on Tuesday February 27th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm for any middle school or high school student and parents that are interested in knowing more about the programs and opportunities available to our students from Shelby, Collins, Eminence, & Spencer. We look forward to seeing you soon!
