I eat them 🙋🏼‍♀️

Let me introduce you to “Nature’s boba” they explode in your mouth and taste just like blueberries 😉.

Whether you like to eat the fruit in our kombucha or not, we leave it in because it helps maintain the carbonation and also shows you that it was flavored with REAL fruit!

What do you do? Do you eat the fruit or strain it out?

Come get your “nature’s boba” tomorrow from 9-noon!

Good morning! Today we are “taking over” the Wyoming Food Coalition Insta page and will be posting a day on the farm, so please join us!

I thought I’d start by introducing ourselves. We are the Shaw family, Theresa, Chris, Kaitlin, Michael, Nathan, and David. (This picture is a few years old and really needs to be updated!)

Chris and I are Air Force veterans and moved to Wyoming after separating from military in 2008. That is when we started our homestead, so that we could provide healthy, whole foods to our family.

Our goal was to build a diversified farm - where all the different parts worked to build a sustainable micro ecosystem. It is a worthy goal and I don’t think we will ever stop learning and growing.

Community is also very important to us, and we are honored to provide healthful and delicious food to our community, in an environmentally conscious way.

We have been at this a while now and have had so many “opportunities for learning”, successes and failures, joys and disappointments, but we are so glad we started this journey.

Column: A look at how our local food economy works 06/27/2024

Thanks for the informative article, Ian!

I think we all do big things in our little part of the world !! 🌎
I grew up and still live very rural and isolated in some ways in my corner of Sheridan county. But the more customers that I get to visit with at our market store I continue to realize our local producers and food economy is really amazing! Many people tell me they didn’t have such great access to local food where they previously lived in a much more populated area and they are so appreciative of our resources.

Column: A look at how our local food economy works Local food producers play a key role in connecting communities through local food, and columnist Ian Cannon-Wallace urges readers to lend them your support.

PSA!! 🚨🚨🚨 😉
To avoid further mini panic attacks like the multiple I witnessed yesterday, please notice the REAL milk fridge has just been moved to the back wall!
There is still plenty of milk!

Sorry for the shortage of cream yesterday and today. There was a fridge malfunction at the home dairy and the fresh cream intended for you all will now make great butter.
What do ya do some days 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks again for all your support and REAL milk love ❤️

Customer Pro Tip!
To make use of your whole bundle of chives, infuse white wine vinegar by soaking the purple chive blossoms. It turns a lovely purple hue and adds a great flavor. Try using the infusion on salad. Chives grown by

DID YOU KNOW?
🐝 There are live enzymes in honey.
🐝 When in contact with a metal spoon, these enzymes die.
🐝 The best way to eat honey is with a wooden or plastic spoon.
🐝 Honey contains a substance that helps your brain work better.
🐝 One teaspoon of honey is enough to sustain human life for 24 hours.
🐝 Propolis, produced by bees, is one of the most powerful natural antibiotics.
🐝 Honey has no expiration date.
🐝 The term “honeymoon” comes from the tradition of newlyweds consuming honey for fertility after the wedding.
🐝 A bee lives less than 40 days, visits at least 1,000 flowers, and produces less than a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime.

One of Wellborn Farm’s more interesting products is fermented garlic.
It’s fermented with low, slow heat. There are zero ingredients other than garlic. The sugar in the garlic cloves ferments while heated, turning it black. The flavor is mild, a little sweet and smoky.
It can be eaten straight from the bulb, spread on bread, or added as an ingredient to dressings and marinades.
It still holds all of the great properties of garlic for immunity and health, without the raw garlic bite.
