Jordan Sr. to bring attention to the needs of more than two million Black-owned businesses operating across America.August 26th of each calendar year. What is National Black Family Business Day? A day that honors all black families in business. Whether a black family has a restaurant, manufacturing company, retail, or as in my case real estate investment company, this day can highlight and celebrate their success.

Why do we celebrate Black business month?
Taking part in Black Business Month is a great way to show solidarity with members of the Black community and start conversations about why it's important to support minority owned businesses. The celebration also helps spread awareness about why diversity is important for businesses and communities.

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you have the right to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information on your credit report. This means you can take action yourself to address any errors or discrepancies you find. You are not required to pay someone else to do it for you.

🤔 SO, WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? 🤔

Instead of falling for credit repair scams, here are some practical steps you can take to improve your credit:

1️⃣ Review Your Credit Report: Obtain a free copy of your credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion). Carefully review it for any errors or inaccuracies.

2️⃣ Dispute Errors: If you find mistakes on your credit report, contact the credit bureau directly to dispute those errors. You can do this online, by mail, or by phone. They are legally obligated to investigate and correct any valid errors.

3️⃣ Pay Bills on Time: One of the most effective ways to improve your credit is by consistently paying your bills on time. Late payments can have a negative impact on your credit score, so make it a priority to meet your payment deadlines.

4️⃣ Reduce Debt: Work on paying down your existing debt. By reducing your debt-to-income ratio, you can positively impact your credit score. Create a budget, cut unnecessary expenses, and focus on paying off your debts systematically.

5️⃣ Build Positive Credit History: Establishing a positive credit history is crucial. You can do this by responsibly managing credit accounts, such as credit cards or loans. Make small purchases and pay them off in full each month to demonstrate good financial habits.
