The Clock Is Ticking!! You have 3 days left to file your taxes by the deadline or you can file an extension!! By filing Form 4868, you can add six months to your filing deadline. If you owe taxes, you still need to pay them by April 15, 2024. These are some reasons you may want to file an extension:

(1) You've got a few things left to organize before you can file
(2) A sudden change in your life that needs your full attention
(3) You're still waiting for tax forms or documents
(4) Your W-2 or other forms need to be replaced
(5) Extreme weather or another event delays your tax filing
(6) Filing later has tax planning advantages
(7) You want to avoid late filing penalties

So don't procrastinate and get those taxes DONE!!

FYI…….📌 Today is the FINAL day for the 2024 PATH ACT TAX REFUND HOLD!! The 2024 PATH ACT TAX REFUND HOLD will be lifted tonight and all taxpayers affected by the PATH law should see an updated tax refund status message by February 17th!! The first BIG DROP of deposits will be Thursday, February 22nd 😊😊😊

Refunds has been dropping for taxpayers with NO EARNED INCOME since January 27, 2023!! State refunds started dropping last night, which is very early for the “La Department of REVENUE” 💰💰Remember, make sure you have ALL your paperwork when filing your returns!

There will be a delay in the new $600/1099K requirement for the 2022 tax year. This is for individuals who receive payments through CashApp, PayPal and Venmo platforms. Just because these platforms are not reporting this income, you still need to report all income!

IRS Warns Tax ‘Refunds May Be Smaller in 2023’ The disappearance of federal stimulus checks is translating to smaller tax refunds next year.

In order to file your taxes this year you must provide proof of monthly child tax payments received (Form 6419) and third stimulus payments received (Form 6475). The IRS has already started mailing these letters out now.

FYI.......The IRS has announced that it will extend the filing season until Monday, May 17, 2021. This one-month extension is for filing and payment.
