I just wanted to apologize for taking a little while to get back to you, but I'm here now and ready to #riseandflo! I've been busy in the lab working on music, the FLO platform, and trying to keep my head above water just like everyone else. This morning, I had a conversation with a friend about the importance of having honest conversations. In our society, we've discounted the value of real, raw conversations. We're so afraid of our own mistakes and being judged that we can't even have real conversations with ourselves. But the truth is, disengagement is not the answer. We need to have honest conversations about race, gender, equity, jobs, finances, spirituality, and more. We need to be able to talk about our mistakes and guide each other before it's too late. So as you go about your day, remember to have honest conversations. If you need to hit the gym, #justdoit. If you need to tell a friend that they need to make a change, #speakup.
