Here are some tips to protect your dog’s paws from hot pavement:

Walk early or late
Try walking your dog in the early morning or late evening when the ground is cooler.🧊

Check the temperature
Touch the pavement with the back of your hand for seven seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog.🌡️

Use dog shoes
If your dog will wear them, dog shoes or booties can protect their paws from heat and injury. 🐾
