Sebastian update!
Little Sebastian is out of the hospital and has fully recovered from pneumonia! His prognoses was pretty low, but little guy may be tiny but he is mighty and he is such a little fighter! Thank you to everyone that continues to support us so we can continue to save lives! Sebastianā€™s life was worth saving and we couldnā€™t have donā€™t it without you!

Sebastian šŸ’”
Sweet 4 week old Sebastian is currently hospitalized fighting for his life. He has pneumonia which is causing the green fluid to come out of his nose. His right lung is worse than the left. He is parvo negative which is great. He is still in such happy spirits and it is clear to us he wants to fight. He will stay in the hospital for a few days, which is an expense we were not expecting after his Momā€™s (Ariel) $13,000 emergency surgery! šŸ˜©We are doing everything we can for him!
We rescued Sebastian, his 3 other siblings, and his Mom Ariel. We have been hit hard these past few weeks and we could really use your help if youā€™re able to donate $1,$5, $10, anything helps! Thank you!

Poor Bowie!
We rescued Bowie from a warehouse where she lived all her life soaked in urine while she never saw the outdoors. Crammed in a pen she was use to eating objects that she shouldnā€™t be eating, we suspect that Bowie has an obstruction in her intestines and we really need help saving her life! She is currently at the ER where we are running more tests. We have been inundated with medical cases this month and have spent over $20,000 in vet bills alone. We really appreciate your support! No donation is too small!šŸ’•

Ariel needs our help!
Arielā€™s life consisted of continuous pregnancies and severe abuse by her previous owner who starved her and ripped her puppies away from her while disturbingly cropping and docking the puppies ears and tails himself in the backyard and selling them for profit. She is currently hospitalized and is receiving a blood transfusion to save her life after she gave birth to 9 puppies and only 5 surviving! She is severely anemic but she is fighting so hard and it is clear she wants to live! Her puppies need her! If you can please help us save Arielā€™s life! She is so deserving! We are so happy she found our way to us! Where she will be loved and cared for forever!

Mia update! We are so happy to share that Mia is healing so well, and she has been adopted by her rescuer! She will know nothing but love for the rest of her life! Thank you to everyone that donated towards her life saving care!ā¤ļø

Sweet MiašŸ’”
We rescued Mia after bystanders watched her get kicked and punched repeatedly on the street. We immediately picked her up, and rushed her to the vet. We have discovered that she has a fractured jaw and trauma to her lungs among other things. We will never understand why people do this to animals. This sweet, beautiful soul wants nothing but love, and all she has experienced is evil by the ones who are suppose to protect her. If you can contribute to her large medical bill, we would really appreciate the support, no donation is too small! We appreciate you all so much, you consistently show up for the neglected animals like Mia and restore our faith in humanity. We could not do it without YOU!šŸ’•

Sweet Marcel, what she endured in her 6 years of life was unimaginable, all because someone made a living out of exploiting her for their own greed. Marcel was bred to the point she could barely walk, she lived all her life neglected in a disgusting warehouse in her own urine and f***s, her toe nails were so overgrown they grew into her paw pads and came out of the other end. Her only purpose to this man was to be bred, over and over again until she could no longer take it. We are so sorry Marcel, your life mattered, we find peace in knowing you are no longer suffering, but our hearts break knowing what you went through. We will continue to fight for you, even harder. We are so sorry beautiful Angel. šŸ’”

Chloe Bellā¤ļø
To say you were special would be an understatement, you were extraordinary. 2.5 years ago we rescued you and you quickly stole our hearts. We knew you werenā€™t going anywhere and you made sure of that. You were the first French Bulldog I ever rescued, so many French bulldogs have been saved just because of you.
You did so many things in your short time with us that most dogs donā€™t even get to do in a lifetime, you even crashed a wedding, and bought my first car with me. You touched the lives of everyone you met, and loved everyone you met. You fought hard through every battle, and Iā€™m so proud of you. I will never be able to explain how much I love you but I know you know. Our lives were better because you were in it. You changed my life forever and Iā€™m so honored you chose me to care for you. I donā€™t know how we got so lucky to be loved by you even thought it was short, I would do it all over again to get another 2.5 years with you. There will be a permanent Chloe size hole in my heart forever. Thank you for making it to my birthday. Please say Hi to Bentley, Terry, and Dakota for us. I love you my best girl.ā¤ļø

7 more hippos are safe, their sad life of living in a pen in urine soaked wood shavings will never exist again. The treatment these dogs have endured are beyond comprehension, a cruel consequence of human greed and a lack of regard for these innocent beings. šŸ’”

Photos from Bailing Out Bentley's post 11/04/2023

We are urgently asking for donations for 6 more lives we have removed from this horrific backyard breeding operation. This now brings us to a whopping total of 20 rescued, with several more to go. The situation these dogs have lived in is horrendous, and it is the result of human greed and lack of regard for a living being. We canā€™t imagine how any human could do this to any living creature, let alone these defenseless dogs. As a result of their poor living conditions, they have urine burns all over their body, curled toenails that are embedded into their paw pad, bleeding eyes, rotten teeth, they all need to be spayed/neutered, the list goes on. The care for these dogs is very expensive and we would appreciate any donations if you are able to.

There is no excuse for this and we could not look away, we know rescues are overwhelmed right now with the amount of dogs needing rescue, and a huge thank you to Community Effort Animal Rescue for stepping up and taking 3 more of these house hippos yesterday.
Our work here is not done, we have a long way to go and we canā€™t do it without your support! If you can foster please message us!

Photos from Bailing Out Bentley's post 10/22/2023

5 more saved from the hell they were living in, we are still in need of fosters! If you can foster a sweet, lovable, house hippo that requires just your love and affection please message us!

Four more babies safe with us. The hell they endured is unimaginable. One is covered in bite marks which makes us think she was used as a bait dog. She is unbelievably sweet, they ALL are, they just want love and affection. Another one is urinating straight blood. She is being treated for this as we speak.
I promise you little ones that you will never see the horrific life you endured ever again full of greed and evil. You are safe nowā¤ļø

These two girls are living their best life in their foster homes! Their friends still need help getting out of their situation, if you can foster a bully or frenchie please message us!

09/29/2023

We rescued this goofy trio of hippos yesterday from a life they will never know again. These 3 little girls are the sweetest most perfect little beings that just crave love and affection. Something they have never known.

There is still more work to be done and we are working on getting the remainder of their siblings. If you can foster a 20-30 lb American Bully or French bulldog please message us!

Emma girl canā€™t catch a break. Emma suddenly started displaying neurological signs a few days ago, she could no longer stand or walk so we immediately took her to the ER. She had another MRI done and her Neurologist found that she has a slipped disc in her neck, she was given pain medications and a steroid and we will recheck next week to discuss if surgery is needed for our girl.

Emma has been through so much already, not only is she trying to still battle the ear infection that spread to her brain, she now has to deal with this, our poor girl canā€™t catch a break but we will love her through her journey. She is home now resting comfortably with so much love and attention.

Emma is struggling šŸ’”
Our sweet girl went to the ER yesterday because she was simply not her goofy self, sheā€™s very lethargic and cannot keep food down and has zero interest in food (which is literally her favorite thing) we ran a bunch of tests to hopefully get some answers, her ultrasound, X-ray and blood work all came back perfect thankfully. She was sent home on supportive medications and she will follow up with Internal medicine to see if we can get to the bottom of this. Emma has been through so much and it is truly heartbreaking to see her back into her sluggish sad state like the day we got her. Emma could use all your love and support to help get her through this bump in the road.šŸ’•

The biggest success this rescue has ever had was helping Milo find his people. Thereā€™s someone for everyone and even for this crazy boy (if you know Milo you just KNOWšŸ˜‚) After an entire year of being with the rescue, Milo found his forever family, who couldnā€™t have been more of the perfect fit. We had thought that this boy was going to be a lifetime member, but out of no where his new family came along and saw through all his ā€œquirksā€ and saw him for who he really is, an amazing, sweet, loving, absolutely hilarious boy that will forever keep you laughing and on your toes. šŸ˜‰

Sweet Jackson
With a heavy heart we are so sad to share that Jackson passed away peacefully last night in my arms, as I held him I told him his life mattered and he was worth the fight and that he didnā€™t deserve this. He looked up at me with those beautiful eyes and licked the tears that fell from my face, the only time he had lifted his head in days.

Jackson declined quickly, after speaking with his Veterinary team, he was transfer to another hospital, we were told by 4 different veterinarians that he was actively suffering, to prolong his suffering was not fair and he deserved dignity. He couldnā€™t stand up, nor lift his head and would cry when he would try and move.

Numerous diagnostics were performed and we found that Jackson had a genetic condition where is own body was attacking itself, many veterinarians told us he was a medical anomaly and had everything genetically against him, he had a defective heart valve, a heart murmur, his liver values were rising quickly, and he quickly went into septic shock. He was miserable and absolutely exhausted.

It infuriates me that someone saw this happening for months and did nothing. To die from starvation has to be one of the most painful ways to go. He wanted nothing more than to be loved. He had such a beautiful spirit and the most beautiful eyes that pierced your soul.

To honor his life and help future dogs from suffering, Jacksonā€™s body was donated to Veterinary students, where a necropsy will be done to contribute to the advancement of Veterinary medicine. ā¤ļø

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone that rallied behind Jackson, because of all of the support, Jackson was able to have a fighting chance, we are so appreciative of the outpouring of love Jackson received by people who never met him.

We love you Jackson, we are so sorry. ā¤ļø

07/17/2023

Yesterday when Jackson was admitted into the hospital his blood pressure was unreadable, his blood pressure, temperature and heart rate are now normal. We just spoke to the vet and he is concerned that Jackson has some kind of underlying heart defect such as a defective valve so he is being conservative with fluid so he does not overwhelm his heart. His recheck X-rays showed that the contents in his stomach are moving out, but there is still some kind of possible blockage. So we are waiting to see if he is able to pass the remainder of the contents in his stomach. All in all, things are moving in the right direction and he is pretty happy with his progress so far. He tried to crawl out of the kennel this morning but stopped because he was too exhausted. We will continue to update. We have been notified that people have been calling the vet and harassing and demanding information. This information will not be given to you. Valuable resources are being taken away by continuing to call a very busy ER hospital. I will not tolerate anyone threatening the vet staff who are simply doing their job. Thank you for understanding. We will update as we have information.

07/16/2023

I know everyone is anxiously waiting for an update, and so are we. As of last night he was actually improving. His lips were ice cold yesterday and his gums were white, but his body temp is back to normal. They did an ultrasound and found a lot of contents in his stomach. They finally got an IV in him and are giving him fluids in hopes that might push whatever is in his stomach through. They are redoing X-rays and ultrasound this morning to see if there are still contents in his stomach. Iā€™ll have another update this afternoon when I speak to the doctor again after repeat X-rays are done today. Itā€™s kind of just a wait a see right now. This morning he was just wagging his tail and trying to pick his head up. Thank you for all the love and support we have received for sweet Jackson. This boy wants to live and he deserves the world after what he has endured in his short time on earth.

07/16/2023

We have been closed for intake of new animals due to the fact that we have so many major medical cases right now, but I saw this sweet boy and he broke my heart. Meet Strength (his new name is Jackson) He is 6 months old and is extremely emaciated. The shelter said he was dumped in front of the door at shelter this morning. šŸ’”

Along with being emaciated, he is having severe diarrhea, he is currently at the ER and will be staying there for the next few days. They are trying to place an IV catheter but are having difficulty because he is so emaciated and dehydrated, he will also have a feeding tube placed.

A huge thank you to his foster for stepping up for our boy when he is released from the hospital. This sweet baby wants to live! As always we will do everything possible for him. He is so sweet and deserves the world. We have attached the invoice in the comments (the invoice is for 2-3 days of hospitalization. We appreciate all and any donations to help this poor baby!

Sweet Emma girl had an MRI yesterday and it was found that she has bacterial meningitis, an inner ear infection that spread to her brain. This started off as an ear infection and went untreated for so long that it eventually spread into her brain. She is starting 6 weeks of antibiotics in hopes to get rid of the infection, if that does not work she might need to have surgery to drain the infection.

The trauma that was done to her eye is not looking any better, in fact it actually looks worse. She also has an old deep ulcer that has also gone untreated for a long period of time. We are taking her back in to recheck her eye in hopes we can get this resolved and save her eye. She is also still coughing and her breathing is one of the worst French bulldogs I have ever heard, she has a c-section scar and that means these genetics were continuously bred into more dogs that will suffer like Emma.
We canā€™t even imagine how much pain this girl has been in. She is the sweetest girl and deserves all the love and care in the world.

French bulldogs (dogs in general) are not accessories or the new fashion statement. If you canā€™t afford to properly care for an animal and are not financially prepared to provide medical care, just donā€™t get oneā€¦ at allā€¦ donā€™t even get a goldfish. But especially donā€™t get any breed of dog that is known to have health complications. Iā€™m so tired of watching these poor dogs suffer because of irresponsible people looking to make a quick dollar and have zero knowledge about basic care.

Photos from Bailing Out Bentley's post 06/03/2023

Sweet Emma! We just rescued this girl from OC animal care, another dumped frenchie that has to suffer because of negligent and irresponsible humans. She is extremely lethargic, emaciated, dehydrated, vomiting, and has diarrhea, along with an infected eye, and an ear infection, she is in need of emergency medical attention, her journey will be long, but just like Winston we will fight for her and do right by her. Please help us save Emma!

Thank you Janet (who brought us Winston) for once again saving the day and picked up Emma without hesitation when I asked if she could transport!

WinstonšŸ’”
Our hearts are broken to share that little Winston passed away peacefully surrounded by the only people to ever show him any kind of love and dignity. Winston fought hard for 10 days, I have never seen such strength in a dog to merely survive despite the horrendous condition he was in. Winston had been extremely starved for months. We canā€™t even fathom the horrendous life he endured prior to getting to us. The only thing he ate was grass, sticks and rocks, until his very last moments he was still expelling grass and sticks in his stool. He had been off the streets for 2 weeks and this was still happening. Winston had canine coronavirus, Giardia and campylobacter virus. All things that are preventable with vaccines, deworming and proper veterinary care. These viruses are difficult for a healthy dog to fight, now imagine a dog like Winston fighting this in his condition, but our boy put up a hell of a fight.

He was improving every day, he was switched to all oral medications and we were preparing to take him home the same day, we received a call from the internal medicine specialist stating that Winston declined rapidly, he was breathing heavily and it was discovered that fluid rapidly built up in his chest, the fluid was compressing his lungs which made it difficult for him to breathe. The doctor tried to find an area on ultrasound to remove the fluid making it easier for him to breathe but she could not safely do this as his lungs would have been punctured. He started to vocalize and was showing neurological signs so we made the heartbreaking and very difficult decision to let Winston be at peace. The damage that had been done was far to much for his little body to overcome.

Winston fought hard every day, he deserved to have a life full of love and it is infuriating that this beautiful boy had his light diminished because of the greed of a human being trying to profit off of his breed.

To the people that support back yard breeders. This is what happens when unethical breeders breed for profit and have no idea what they are doing and breed dogs with genetic/ health problems and dump them because they are no longer useful to them. Stop supporting backyard breeders. They donā€™t care about the dogs, do your research. I can guarantee you I can find you any purebred dog in rescue.

We wish he got to us sooner. If you find an animal that needs immediate medical attention please take the animal immediately to your local shelter or to a rescue before itā€™s too late, so the animal can get immediate medical attention and have a fighting chance. Please do not keep found dogs.

Winston you were special, your sweet face and perfect soul melted my heart, you took a piece of our heart when you left us, you stole our heart just like you stole many. We are sorry you did not get to us sooner, we will continue to fight for you, your life mattered. You were ready but our hearts were not, we love you forever, you changed our lives forever.ā¤ļø

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone that donated to Winston, because of you we were able to give him a much deserved chance at life. Winston touched the lives of so many people that never even met him.

05/04/2023

Winston! This sweet little man is trying so hard. His blood sugar still continues to be low and his RBC also dropped. Today he ate food when I visited him and he was so excited about it. He was transferred to internal medicine today and the Dr. doesnā€™t see him getting out of the hospital anytime soon. We have ruled out any conditions and it all comes down to that he is just extremely emaciated and starved. We are still waiting on one test to come back, but fingers crossed that is negative. He is extremely weak but he continues to fight. His journey is going to be a long one but we canā€™t wait to see his progress a few months down the road. šŸ¾šŸ’•
