South Carolina COG Royal Rangers

Well the 2024 Men and Boy’s Campout is over and we give God all the praise for what took place.

Our goal: to create a fun and safe outdoor adventure for men and boys to grow closer in their relationship with each other and to God.

We would like to take a moment to thank Brian Yaun for his leadership and his obedience for speaking truth and life into us this weekend. What a blessing it was to have Josh Martin with us at this year’s Campout. He went above and beyond to welcome everyone and interacted with the boys and men throughout the weekend. Even jumped in and threw football with the guys. Praying God uses these two amazing men in powerful ways. A special thanks to the Boys Ministry Board, canteen staff, group leaders, activity volunteers, and the praise and worship team for your impeccable service to the men and boys this weekend. You have worked hard to minister and encourage the men and boys of our state. We are grateful for the youth board members and pastors that came out to support this event and the groups this weekend.

Join us in prayer as we begin planning for next year’s event. We know God has great things planned.

Night one was filled with powerful worship and an on time word. Thank you Bishop Brian Yaun for being obedient and allowing God to use you. Excited to see what God has for us tomorrow.

Canteen is set up and ready for this weekend. Stop by and grab a cold beverage and some snacks. We are excited to see everyone.

The Scavenger Hunt will start before you leave the church this year.

For all the church groups attending the Men and Boy’s Campout this weekend, all you need to do is take a group picture at your church before you leave and send it to Corey via text message. His number is below.

Include the leader’s name and the church name with the picture.

The SC Men and Boy's Campout is designed for you and your church. We purposefully created this weekend for the church with no boy's ministry and looking to take a group of boys and guys camping, this event is also available for the boy's ministry that meets weekly. You do not need to have a Royal Rangers outpost to attend the SC Men and Boy's Campout.

A weekend of extensive training, fellowship, and growth. Join us in congratulating these men as they have completed their next level of continuing education.

While achieving their continuing education Zane successfully completed the Outpost Coordinator track and Jamie Hopkins, Corey Rogers and Ron Owens took the Basic Archery Instructor course.

Join us in celebrating with Pastor Kory Johnson and the Georgetown COG as they start up Outpost 13.

God has already been working within this church and their team. Pray for them as they minister to this generation of boys and raise up strong men that love and fear the Lord.

Join us in celebration and prayer as Outpost 6 begins a new adventure. Tremont is a re-charter and we are excited about what God has planned for this OP.

Just this week we have been contacted by two other churches in SC and one in TN about starting an Outpost. Royal Rangers is growing and we give God all the glory for what He is doing!!

Join us as we congratulate these men for completing the National Rangers Ministry Camp (NRMC). This is a fun and very informative training that is designed to equip our leaders to plan and execute activities, camps, derbies, skills, and much more. The Royal Rangers ministry is growing throughout the Church of God and we are blessed to watch lives being changed by this ministry.

We have already been contacted by several churches and leaders about the next set of training in South Carolina. To God be the glory!

We would like to congratulate several of our Royal Ranger Commanders for their completion of the WCO training today. The World Class Outpost course is a terrific training opportunity for any leader in Rangers. We are extremely proud of these commanders. They have a passion and desire to see boys and young men grow in their faith. May God continue to bless them as they reach the lost and equip those in their outpost.

We are offering an adventure you do NOT want to miss. A weekend of fun in August. Our first hybrid camping experience. What does that mean for you? We will have the dorms open for groups that would like to sleep indoors, as well as offer sites for an outdoor camping experience. Cost will include lunch on Saturday and a T-Shirt.

God blessed us with a wonderful weekend! Over 220 men and boys worshipped, grew and had fun together at the SC COG Men and Boy’s Campout. A weekend of transformation. God has blessed us with incredible leadership and an amazing Boy’s Ministry Board. Thank you Chad S. Fickett for your leadership and vision. Also a special thank you to our board, Edward Hardee, (Ron)Elaine N Ron Owens, Joe Lambert, George Mayer, (Eric) Eric N Angel Harmon and Corey Rogers for planning and executing a weekend to remember. God is working in our state and we are excited about what He is doing in the Boy’s Ministry of SC.

The Knight’s Way…one of the events for this weekend. This activity works with any size group and includes opportunities for the boys and men to participate. The Knight’s Way is designed to be fun, build teamwork and to strengthen our skills. Your group will have a blast as they journey through this adventure. Pick up the Knight’s Way schedule and map at the registration table.

It's almost here! The Boy's and Men's Campout is right around the corner and we are going to have a great weekend. There is still time to register your church. EVERYONE IS INVITED. You do not need to have a Boy's Ministry in place to participate.

This year we are offering even more opportunities to have fun. One way is your church group can build your very own Guidon Flag. Check out the instructions for some ideas. Have fun with your boys and be creative. Your Guidon Flag can be apart of your campsite.

Churches from all over the state are asking about the Men & Boy's Campout. It's going to be great weekend. Annually we have ONE campsite that takes home the Campsite Trophy. Below you will find the Model Campsite image.

Our judges look to ensure that each campsite has followed and included all the components in the model, as well as incorporated the theme. Allow your campers and leaders to be creative and have fun with this portion of the competition.

Let’s congratulate the Latta Church of God for seeing the importance in reaching the boys and young men of their community. OutPost 12 is on fire and excited about growing the Kingdom of God. This is going to be an OP to keep your eye on. The Lead Pastor and men have already hit the ground running. OP 12 is lead by brother Zane Bryant. As we congratulate them in organizing the first OP in the Latta COG, let’s also join them in prayer as they minister to the families of their community.
