Nightingale Coffee

Hello everyone,

The time has come for me to share some exciting news about the future of Nightingale Coffee!

Over the last few months I have been in the process of some substantial change. Some of you may have noticed my silence on social mediums and absence from the public spaces where I typically serve out of my espresso cart systems.

The reasons for this are multifaceted, but my announcement in its simplest form is that I’ve decided to take an opportunity to move to Des Moines, Iowa this June.

Much of what I’ve been up to has been negotiating a deal with a good friend in the local coffee community to take what I’ve built over the past three years and run with it. By this coming week, the espresso carts that I built and that you have seen me operate around town will be in the hands of Corey Larkin - owner and operator of High Ground Cafe and Espresso Bar.

I chose Corey specifically and approached him about this idea, because I trust that he has the capacities and attention to detail to adequately serve all of the great people who have shown me so much support at Nightingale Coffee over the past three years in Siouxland.

I started Nightingale in 2019 with the desire to pursue and create the best in Coffee, Community and Culture. I believe that I have in many ways achieved my goals and heighten the coffee culture in Siouxland. I’m proud to have met and served such a diverse group of people who thought that what I was up to was worth supporting.

As for the future, I have some plans set in my mind that may take time to actualize, but you’ve not seen the last of Nightingale. So, keep posted and I will reveal information as it seems appropriate- thank you Siouxland! You’ve all been a joy to serve and I am incredibly grateful to have gotten that opportunity.

High Ground Cafe And Espresso Bar

Hey everyone, I have a slight change to my hours today, you can catch me at the Southern Hills mall from 10:30 AM until 3:30 PM. And don’t forget coffee and cocktails tomorrow from 11 o’clock until 4 o’clock pm! Looking forward to seeing you all and serving some espresso beverages over the next couple days. Also we just got a new batch of fresh roasted beans so come on by and stock up for the next week or so!

Hey folks, we’re are serving the next three days at the Morningside Jazz Festival! Come see us in the mornings from 7:00 am - 8:15 am and in the afternoon / evenings from 12:30 pm - 5:30pm in the auditorium lobby. Thanks!

Hey everybody, I hope you all had a great holiday season. I had a few days off, but I will be back at it tomorrow and Friday at the Southern Hills Mall in Sioux City Iowa. You can find me there from around 10:30 AM in the morning until 5:00 PM at night. I will have some special New Year’s eve inspired drinks, and you want to drop by for your last night in your coffee before the new year! Thank you all for the support this past year and I look forward to serving you the next two days.

We are at Rooted Boutique today in downtown Sioux City! If you come by today or tomorrow for Black Friday or Small Business Saturday you have a drink on them! Additionally, we have our full menu available, so come on down either way! Can’t wait to see you all and start the Christmas season.

Siouxland coffee shop finds creative ways to stay busy this holiday season During the winter, owner Alex Paulsen relocates to the Southern Hills Mall and depends on different events and collaborations with other Siouxland small businesses to bring in profit for the shop.

Hey everyone! We have a busy weekend, but you can find us at the today and tomorrow from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This Saturday is the last farmers market of the season and it looks like it will be beautiful! Lastly, come to the for coffee cocktails and their Sunday Bloody Sunday bar. We will have some spooky cocktails for you to frighten and delight. Can’t wait to see you all, enjoy the end of October!
