U.S. Deploys Over 17,200 Military Personnel to Middle East. This deployment includes 12,000 sailors on the USS Ford and Eisenhower carrier strike groups, 4,000 sailors and marines with the Bataan amphibious ready group, and an additional 1,200 troops deployed to the region.
- We deployed 900 soldiers in the Middle East, including specialists in air defense systems
- Our forces were attacked by groups allied with Iran at least 12 times in Iraq and 4 times in Syria last week.
- We plan to provide two American air defense systems to Israel to enhance its capabilities and protect citizens
