Excited to soon head to Tenakee Springs for Tenakee Tells Tales. We’ve got some great storytellers lined up!

This is a chance for Tenakee to get some radio "air time" and to celebrate recent progress toward the installation of a tremendous upgrade to the KCAW FM radio equipment and signal!

The theme: At the Bathhouse. The event: a community potluck & live storytelling celebration of at the Community Center.
Thursday August 8th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.

We will record “At the Bathhouse” in & aim to air it on on August 20th, 7 PM AKST & you will be able to listen to it wherever you listen to podcasts (Just look for Sitka Tells Tales).

Sofiia Tiapkina tells a story of family, language, a story that reaches beyond beyond borders and conflict. She comes from south-eastern Ukraine, where all her family remains right now. Sofiia came to Sitka Outer Coast to pursue their passions in learning about culture and nature, hiking, and art.

Yay! Sitka Tells Tales at Sitka Porch Fest --Saturday, May 20th at 4 pm, behind the Beak Restaurant. Gearing up with tellers tomorrow! The theme is Break Through: Tales of sudden discoveries and new creations!

Sitka Porch Fest is coming up quick! In just two weeks, on May 20th, Lincoln Street will be closed off for the day.

Sitka Tells Tales will be holding a storytelling event,
Island Artists Gallery will be holding a workshop on watercolor painting, and you can enjoy music at the KCAW stage until 9pm.

This is truly an event that you don't want to miss. The whole Sitka community comes together in a celebration of spring with fun activities, and lively music and dance!
