Pools need lifeguards to stay open!

Calling all lifeguards! Parks and Rec is looking for more lifeguards to staff the Blatchley Pool. We are especially interested in getting more Senior Lifeguards (18+). If you aren't certified yet, courses are available. For more information, reach out to Rachel, our new Aquatics Supervisor!

Don’t forget this Thursday 10/10 we have our Annual Pizza Party! From 5-7pm located at the BMS commons.

In honor of Change Your Latitude this weekend we will be having a open water activity for tomorrows practice.

It will be at 6:30 starting at the Science Center! That being said there will be no pool practice for masters and elites, but are encouraged to come do some open water.

All swimmers and kayakers are welcome!

The relay team of Zack Martens (back), Ben Lihou (breast), Tommy McCarthy (fly), Phin Edwards (free) swam a time of 4:09.50 in the 400 Medley Relay to set a new BBSC record!

2024 BBSC Alaska State Swimming Championship Team!

Zach Martens, Eric Chevalier, Ben Lihou, and Tommy McCarthy broke the Boys 13/14 200 Free relay with a time of 1:39.80!

Wim Edwards broke the 11/12 Boy BBSC 200 Fly record (2:29.41), previously held by Zach Martens.
