Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that can cause a range of symptoms, including joint pain, muscle pain, and fatigue. The bacteria can also affect the connective tissue in the body, including the fascia.

Fascial Counterstrain Therapy can help by:

โœ… Reducing pain: One of the most common symptoms of Lyme disease is pain, which can be caused by inflammation in the fascia and other tissues. Fascial Counterstrain Therapy can help to reduce this pain by releasing tension and reducing inflammation in the fascia.

โœ… Improving mobility: Lyme disease can cause stiffness and reduced mobility, which can be related to tension in the fascia. By targeting specific points in the fascia, Fascial Counterstrain Therapy can help to improve mobility and range of motion.

โœ… Supporting the immune system: Lyme disease can weaken the immune system, making it harder for the body to fight off infection. Fascial Counterstrain Therapy can potentially support the immune system by reducing stress and promoting relaxation, which can help the body to heal more effectively.

Could your pain be fascia related?

The short answer is YES!

When it comes to pain, the musculoskeletal system often gets the blame. But in fact, in many cases pain is caused by tight fascia.

Fascial Counterstrain Treatment helps release tight fascia to relieve pain anywhere in the body. It is often the missing link for patients who have been unknowingly treating the wrong system for years before they find Counterstrain.

In many cases of chronic pain, fascia is often overlooked as the source of the pain.

Letโ€™s take the example of Adhesive Capsulitis, or โ€œFrozen Shoulder.โ€

The shoulder is a complex structure involving many bones, fibrous ligaments, tendon attachments, muscles. It also contains arteries, veins, and nerves, which travel in close proximity of the joint.

All of these structures are covered by fascia. In response to injury, irritation, or perceived threat, the fascia and muscles in the shoulder tighten in an attempt to protect the area. This limits blood flow and joint mobility and ultimately causes the pain that patients experience.

With standard treatment, this condition takes at least 18 months to resolve.

Fascial Counterstrain Therapy is a much gentler and quicker treatment, with pain often being reduced significantly in one to two sessions.

Fascial Counterstrain Therapy & PTSD ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ”ท Counterstrain therapy effectively manipulates the fascial systems of the body: vascular, visceral, neural, musculoskeletal, all of which can create protective reflex spasms in response to trauma.

๐Ÿ”ถ When injured or threatened, for example in the case of a physical or emotional trauma, fascia reflexively contracts around a structure.

๐Ÿ”ท Releasing the tissue dysfunction to which these traumas are tied enables the trauma to be released as well.

๐Ÿ”ถ This promotes healing on both the physical and emotional level, and allows these patients to experience life with less suffering and more capacity for joy. They can also see improvements in sleep, mood, and personal relationships.

๐Ÿ”ท While it is possible to experience flashbacks and repressed memories during or after treatment, afterwards, they do not seem as โ€œheavyโ€ and constant as before treatment.

This is just one of the many examples of how Counterstrain can be used to treat mental and emotional issues ๐Ÿ‘

As humans become more sedentary and chronic illness becomes more prevalent, our fascia is not faring well ๐Ÿ˜”

โ— This thin layer of connective tissue is responsible for holding every organ, blood vessel, bone, muscle and nerve fiber (including your brain and spinal cord) in place โ€“ thatโ€™s a big job!

And not only does it provide internal structure; fascia has nerves that make it almost as sensitive as skin ๐Ÿ˜ฎ These nerves are a vital part of the bodyโ€™s communication system with the brain.

When fascia is stressed by any of the factors mentioned above, it tightens up and causes pain throughout the body. Many health conditions actually have fascial dysfunction at their root, from neck and back pain, to anxiety, to digestive disorders and more.

So what can you do? Movement is the best prevention ๐Ÿƒ Fascia needs a healthy circulation of fresh blood to function optimally.

Unfortunately, many people are beyond the prevention stage, with advanced issues that need medical attention.

Fascial Counterstrain Therapy is a great option for such people ๐Ÿ‘ as it locates and targets the source of pain anywhere in the body. By treating the root cause of the issue in the fascia, the body can heal and be restored to healthy function.

In many ways, Fascial Counterstrain Therapy is the complete opposite of the traditional healthcare approach.

โŒ Diagnostics in the traditional approach often miss the real issue.
โœ… Counterstrain uses a precise diagnostic cranial scan to pinpoint the cause of pain.

โŒ Traditional healthcare with its close ties to Big Pharma is quick to prescribe drugs that mask the issue but donโ€™t actually heal it.
โœ… Counterstrain treats and heals the actual tissue dysfunction that is the cause of pain and inflammation.

โŒ Traditional healthcare sees pain as an isolated event, and does not consider other systems that may be contributing factors.
โœ… Counterstrain evaluates and treats the whole body, healing pain holistically.

โŒ The traditional approach focuses on symptoms of pain and does not seek to discover their cause.
โœ… Counterstrain finds and targets the source of pain, so real healing can happen.
