The Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking nominations for its 2024 Business of the Year Awards.

Help us recognize the people and businesses that make our community special. Nominate your favorite business or someone who's making a difference in our community.

Anyone can complete a nomination form, but nominees must be members of the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce. Not sure how long someone has been in business or if they're eligible? Complete the form and we'll determine the right category and eligibility.

Awards will be handed out for the following categories:

* Number of Employees- (1-5, 6-10, 11-20, 21-50, 51-100, 101-200, 201-500, 501-1000+)
* Non-Profit Organization
* Civic Club
* Woman in Business Award
* Rising Star Award
* Community Event of the Year
* Entrepreneurial Success Story
* New Business of the Year
* Excellence in Education Award

Procedure for Nominating a business:

* Nomination forms must be submitted to the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce by Friday, November 15, 2024.
* An Independent Business Selection Committee will meet thereafter to select and determine the award winners.
* The announcement and recognition of the honorees will be made at the Chamber of Commerce Banquet on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
* Please attach a list of: Community Activities / List of Community Organizations - Offices held / Additional information - Why nominee feels this business deserves to be selected as the "Business of the Year" or other selected categories.

Criteria for Selection:

* Nominated Business must be a current member of the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce.
* Nominated Business must have been in business in the Somerset-Pulaski County area for at least two years. *(New Comer excluded)
* Nominated businesses must be involved in Community Activities.
* Nominees must write a short paragraph as to why this business should be selected.
* Nominee is responsible for contacting the nominated business and getting approval for nomination.

It will be YOUR input that determines the recipients of these awards!

The Chill Out and Proud Somerset festival was a great day!! So great, that we unfortunately will not be able to be at Jack's Axes tonight as planned, we literally have nothing to serve. We deeply appreciate all the business we got today and we deeply apologize to anyone who was looking forward to visiting the truck tonight. We promise we will be at Jack's Axes in the future! It's a beautiful fall day out here at the Chill Out and Proud Somerset festival at SCC!!! We have all your favs today! Come on out, get ur BBQ fix and enjoy the festivities!!

A big thank you to everyone who came out to see us today! It's a beautiful October Wednesday.....today is Wednesday and not Tuesday like I put in the previous post. You ever have those days where the flow of the day is just off??? That's us today. Hopefully the rest of the evening goes a little smoother!!!

We're having a Monday over here at the truck. If you haven't had lunch yet come on out and see us at Ross. The Dirty Boba KY is here too, good options to be had on this Mondayest Tuesday.

The Moonlight Festival yesterday was fantastic! What a day it was! We appreciate all of the business and love that came our way. However, the day didn't go exactly as planned because we ended up having problems with our generator. We still don't know if it's even a problem that is fixable yet. We also want to express our gratitude and thanks to everyone who came by to help, offered their assistance and expertise to help get us back up and going. Thank you to The Dirty Boba, Deez Spudz, The City of Somerset crew, Somerset PD, The Chamber of Commerce, Zimmerman's Famous Pig, Mike Hornback and Gold Star Chili, and especially Josh Anderson and Get Ur Smoke On for letting us borrow one of their generators. Your support shows us that it takes a village to keep the food truck community going and we certainly felt the support. We finished the day strong and we are feeling the aftermath today. Today the Yeti hibernates and recovers. Again, a heartfelt Thank You everyone!!! We will see you out soon!!
