Fall color season is here!
National Forest lands at Lake Tahoe are a great place to view fall colors. Be sure to park legally, avoid blocking lanes, slow down and watch for people and wildlife. Suggested viewing locations and more at tinyurl.com/3np7jdxr.

We have reports of individuals violating the U.S. Forest Service-Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest Closure Order, including reports of people using mountain bikes on bulldozer lines, where fire crews and bulldozers continue to work.

There was at least one near miss today between a bulldozer and a mountain biker. Not only is this incredibly dangerous, it is a violation of the Closure Order and not a legal mountain biking trail.

Please respect all closure orders, especially for the safety of everyone in the area. There are now fire weakened trees and burned ash pits in the area that is closed.

This is a fantastic resource as we head into fall!
