Self-rescue and Anchor Building 2/20/2024 The EDSAR team skied and snowshoed up to Cathedral Bowl (Tallac) to train on self-rescue and anchor buiding. This might look like a bunch of EDSAR volunteers rolling in the snow, but it is actually one of our challenging trainings. High chance of getting hurt.

El Dorado Search and Rescue and CHP H24 - Tahoe Nov 2023 Today, the El Dorado Search and Rescue’s Helicopter Response Team (HRT) and California Highway Patrol’s H24 teamed up for a day of mountain rescue training in Tahoe. The training consisted of patient packaging and transport as well as loading and unloading from the helicopter in steep snowy conditions where a helicopter is unable to land. This video depicts how incredible and precise H24’s crew is, the importance of teamwork and how critical it is to practice in these tough conditions.
