Some of the crew here at Tile Tools Plus received an amazing opportunity to go on a food run with our neighbors Adopt-A-Native-Elder last week. Adopt-A-Native-Elder is a really great non-profit organization that "serves to help reduce extreme poverty and hardship facing traditional Elders living on the Navajo Reservation." by "delivering food, medical supplies, firewood and other forms of Elder support." It was a very humbling and unique experience for all involved. We are so happy that our team was able to support such a great cause. Check out some of the photos that were snapped during the week long trip. We also included captions to help paint a full picture.

It's Friday, people!

Today's Familiar Friday spotlight is Cortnie.

Cortnie is our Office Admin here at Tile Tools Plus. She has not been with us long (just about 3 months) but has completely found her place within the team. Cortnie has several years of experience in residential construction, estimating and administration work. Cortnie is typically voice behind the Facebook posts and is usually the smiling face you see when you come in, as she works in the front full-time.

At home Cortnie has a husband, 3 bonus children and 3 dogs (her babies). In her free time, she likes to spend time with her nieces and nephew, go camping with her husband or go to an art class or to the farmer’s market with her mom. Her dream vacation would be to go to Rio de Jinero, Brazil to hike to Christ the Redeemer Statue or to stay for several weeks near tropical beach, somewhere like Bora Bora. Something interesting about Cortnie is she has crooked pinky fingers – they are bent inwards at the top knuckle (no not from a break). Cortnie says that the best part of her job is being able to help customers figure out how to fix their tile install issues with the unique products we offer. She also really enjoys her co-workers and bosses and says she feels like she really fits in.

ITS FRIDAY! So that means it is Familiar Friday.

Today's spotlight is Eli.

Eli works with our production team. He has been with Tile Tools Plus for 1 year. Actually, his one-year anniversary is on Monday! Eli is Rod’s righthand man and is there to help Rod out with whatever crazy shenanigans that Rod has in mind. He is always willing to step up and help. Rod says that Eli has a great work ethic and is very eager to learn. He is impressed that Eli knows that working with foam is something he wants to do as a career and wants to open his own shop one day. He is also thankful that Eli is honest and always owns up to his mistakes. Like all the other employees, Eli has a background in tiling. He grew up helping out his dad with his tile installation company. Although a young man, Eli is dedicated and determined to become something big. With all of his hard work, we have no doubt that he will conquer anything he sets his mind to.

At home, Eli spends lots of time with his girlfriend. In his free time, he likes to canyoneer and likes riding street bikes. He also enjoys all things guns and shooting. His dream vacation is to go to Egypt and visit the ancient pyramids. His favorite part of his job is having Rod as his boss. He said that Rod is very interactive and involved. Eli is a great asset to the team and helps keep us balanced.

As you may have seen our post last Friday, we are wanting to familiarize ourselves with our Facebook friends. Lets call it Familiar Fridays! 😆

Today's spotlight is Connie.

Connie is our Office Manager here at Tile Tools Plus. She has worked with us for over 3 years. Connie has lots of great experience and an extensive amount of knowledge when it comes to flooring and construction. Additionally, she is the true definition of a great leader. She takes pride in her work and always follows through. Connie is the one who gets stuff done!

At home, Connie spends a lot of time with her family. In her free time, she likes to make jewelry and collect stones. She also loves the outdoors, likes to hike and goes rock hounding when the weather permits. She is always looking for a new adventure - whether it be meeting new people, food, an activity or a game. Connie’s bucket list vacation is to go to Iceland and sleep in a glass igloo under the aurora borealis. Connie said her favorite part of her job is her boss, Rod, and her co-workers. We truly value Connie and all her hard work.

Hello all and happy Friday! Its a beautiful day here in South Salt Lake. Hopefully the weather is beautiful in your area, too.

Since we are just starting up our new page, we wanted to get well-acquainted with our friends on here. With that being said, we will start doing spotlights about each of us here at Tile Tools Plus. We will start with our very talented Genielle.

Genielle, also known as Genny, is our Production Manager here at Tile Tools Plus. She has worked with us for over 5 years now, making her our most tenured employee. Although petite, she is one strong woman. She throws around massive blocks of foam like they are a feather. Also, many of our regulars absolutely love working with Genny and trust her 100% to cut their foam products. She is a whiz when it comes to cutting foam.

At home Genny has a husband and 3 teenage/young adult children. In her free time she likes to read and do arts and crafts. She also does a lot of journaling and writing, including writing her own book. Her dream vacation would be to “just camp in the mountains, anywhere, just in the mountains.” Something unique about Genny is that you will never find her cooking willingly - instead, look for her outside playing in the dirt. Genny said her favorite part about her job is the flexibility and the people she works with. She said that this is the only job that she has truly liked each one of her co-workers. We LOVE Genny and she is a huge contribution to Tile Tools Plus.
