We’re thrilled to announce the completion of our latest project for LuxFit, a gym where people are empowered to push past their limits and achieve their goals in a fun, energizing, and inclusive community that loves the outdoors. The space features a tiered gym with soaring 15-foot ceilings, recessed slabs at powerlifting racks with extra thick rubber flooring, and a fully isolated ceiling assembly with a top-tier acoustic rating—an impressive feat of coordination. Additionally, we poured topping slabs over lightweight concrete with in-slab electrical infrastructure, ensuring that this dynamic space is as functional as it is inspiring. We’re honored to have collaborated with Martinkovic Milford Architects and Tishman Speyer in shaping this incredible environment.

Join us in congratulating Jenny Eng on her well-deserved promotion to Junior Systems Administrator! Jenny came to us from the Genesys Works Internship Program in 2021 and was a standout performer in short order, prompting us to make her a permanent addition to the Team in early 2022. She provides support across the organization as well as regular 'hands-on' assistance for our Thousand Oaks and San Diego locations. Her journey to this milestone has been marked by exceptional dedication and outstanding performance.

Jenny has been instrumental in composing critical IT documentation as well as leading personalized training sessions for many of our Project Teams. She has reliably performed difficult single-handed job site network configurations for most of our SOCAL projects and regularly assists the Bay Area team as well. Jenny is a frequent first-responder for support requests in the Help Center queue and does not shy away from some of our most confounding technical challenges. All of this she does while also completing college coursework in Cyber-Security and serving our country as a Mechanic in the Army Reserve!

Jenny embodies a strong work ethic, admirable perseverance, and unwavering commitment to our people, always with a smile, a friendly can-do attitude and a great sense of humor! Her efforts and abilities are truly commendable and have measurably contributed to our success. Congratulations, Jenny!

We’re thrilled to have our 2024 Summer Interns off to a fantastic start! Over the course of the next few weeks, our interns will gain hands-on experience across various project sites throughout the Bay Area, working closely with our project teams. From day one, they have dove into current projects, learning the ins and outs of construction alongside our experts. Throughout the summer, they will attend comprehensive training sessions designed to enhance their leadership, project ex*****on, customer experience, and constructability skills. We believe in the power of strong teams, so our interns will also participate in engaging team-building activities, fostering connections and camaraderie.

Last week, The Dome Construction Foundation had the pleasure of supporting The Crayon Initiative 8th annual Crayon Classic once again! The Crayon Initiative brings joy to children facing the stress of hospitalization by providing them with the freedom of creative play. Not only does this wonderful organization brighten the lives of young patients, but it also tackles the issue of crayon waste by repurposing used crayons, keeping them out of landfills, and giving them a new design that’s easier for kids to grip.

Steve Long, Jackson Butler, Steve Ballardo, Nick Ramirez, and Kimberly Walter invited some of our clients to join in supporting this fantastic cause, and everyone had a wonderful day on the green. We're proud to be part of such an impactful initiative that spreads smiles and creativity while helping the environment.

We're excited to share a glimpse of the foundation work at one of our latest projects! A strong foundation is crucial to every structure, and today, we're highlighting our recent Cell-Crete and concrete pour. These are for a generator yard which will house 2 parallel 600 kW generators, laying the groundwork for reliability and strength. A huge shoutout to Bradley Concrete & Prime Electric for their exceptional partnership and expertise in getting the job done right!

The Dome Construction Foundation was thrilled to once again support the the Syserco Annual Golf for Kids' Sake Tournament, benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area. This event's proceeds go towards 1:1 mentoring services for nearly 500 young people in the Bay Area, all provided at no cost to the children and families enrolled.

Rob Lynch, Kimberly Sowers, Nick Ramirez, and Kimberly Walter had a fantastic day on the green, golfing and connecting with industry friends while supporting this great cause. Kimberly Sowers made Dome proud by winning "Closest to the Pin" and "Ladies Longest Drive." A huge thanks to Will Talamaivao for manning the Dome-sponsored hole and making every golfer feel welcome!

Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, a day of profound historical significance marking the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, with the news that the Civil War had ended and that all enslaved people were now free—over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Juneteenth is a time for reflection, education, and celebration of African American culture, resilience, and contributions. It's a day to honor the struggles and achievements of those who fought for freedom and equality, and to recognize the ongoing journey towards a more just and inclusive society.

Let us celebrate the progress we've made, acknowledge the work that still needs to be done, and commit to fostering a future where everyone is truly free.

Even though school just got out, we're already gearing up for back-to-school season and looking for ways to help! This week, our employees, with support from The Dome Construction Foundation filled backpacks for Hijas Del Campo.

Dome HR Manager Adriana Baires shared why she supports this wonderful organization:

"Hijas del Campo (which means Daughters of the Field) is doing incredible work in our community by supporting farm workers and their families. This initiative is close to my heart because I have family members who have worked in the fields. These families often lack access to basic necessities like reliable housing, food, and medical treatment. Their children, often first-generation students, also need resources, mentors, and support to succeed in school. These are the families that put food on our tables, and I am thrilled we could contribute to this cause."

We're thrilled to share our ongoing involvement in the transformation of Longfellow's Palo Alto Labs Campus. This dynamic project, spanning eight single-story and two two-story buildings totaling 260,000 rentable square feet, has become a thriving life science campus.

Since Longfellow's acquisition of the campus in 2019, they've been actively repositioning the buildings within the campus, transitioning them from traditional office spaces to cutting-edge labs to establish Palo Alto Labs as the premier life science campus on the Peninsula.

We are proud of the recent projects we have completed and will take you along on the current office & spec Laboratory Remodel that we just got started on.

Façade Enhancements: We've undertaken a series of enhancements including the demolition of wood "timber" elements, installation of striking corten steel entry features, building painting, and replacement of exterior light fixtures to ensure aesthetic consistency.

Landscape Improvements: Our team has revitalized the campus with new courtyards, lawns, arrival plazas, and terraces/patios adjacent to 1800 Embarcadero. We've also revamped hardscapes and railings along pond sections to enhance the overall environment.

1800 Embarcadero Amenities Tenant Improvements: From a sleek "Grab-n-Go" café to a cozy lounge space, conferencing facilities, and a state-of-the-art fitness center, we've transformed the tenant amenities at 1800 Embarcadero. Additionally, Longfellow's management office and existing restroom core have been refreshed and made ADA compliant.

Erick's story at Dome is one of strong relationships. Erick initially learned about Dome when a trusted mentor began working here. Erick's relationship with that mentor ultimately led to him joining Dome in 2015. Since joining, he has made significant contributions in the Life Science field. Thanks to his ability to maintain strong relationships with his clients, Erick is always in-demand for critical work in cMPG facilities.

As a builder, Erick also prides himself in creating opportunities for self-performed work. He has a desire to develop others and enjoys doing it. When Erick is not hard at work on a Dome jobsite, you'll find him fishing and spending time with his young daughter.
