A devastating train accident has occurred in Odisha, India, leaving behind a trail of destruction and despair. At least 290+ people have been killed and 1,000 are injured. CHIRAJ is coordinating efforts on the ground to provide financial aid to the victims.

CHIRAJ in partnership with Hold My Hand started a new project in the Afar Region of Ethiopia. As part of the kick off we hosted a Iftar Giving last week as part of the Ramadan Celebration. The joy of our children in northern Syria is complete with the new Eid clothes, so we partned with Ghiras Alnahda USNFP غراس النهضة a non profit to provide full Eid clothing for children in the camps, in the last week of the holy month of Ramadan.

A symposium was held in the open space created on the basis of the "VCENTRI HUB" (Communication Center) to educate and support people suffering from mental health challenges as a result of Russian aggression. We had virtual experts from Columbia University, New York and International Psychology Organizations, New York amongst others share their experience and best practice.

CHIRAJ in associate with Heal – Corp (USA) started our humanitarian relief for the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. In addition, CHIRAJ coordinated with the Director of Health Turkey. CHIRAJ under the leadership of Dr. Rajeev Fernando will be assisting at a refugee center/ field hospital on a ship to assist the overwhelmed hospitals at the sites of destruction.

Celebrating the Christmas holidays with our impoverished children affected by the Ukraine in war. The sad reality is many of the children are close by in a bomb shelter/metro waiting the air raid to stop to attend the party. 🇺🇦❤️
Dr. Rajeev Fernando and the rest of CHIRAJ team in Ukraine was featured in Forbes focusing on the work we have been doing in Ukraine. CHIRAJ has opened a Health and Wellness center in Ukraine (with additional centers to follow) in June 2022. Since then we have helped over 200+ patients (Women, Children, Military) who were most affected by the war.

For more than 150 years the National Scientific Center "M.D. Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology" has provided care to countless Ukrainians. Russia's invasion has damaged or destroyed its critical infrastructure. CHIRAJ in partnership with Stony Brook Southampton Hospital has donated an echocardiogram machine so they can continue to treat patients.

In Ethiopia, excited to kick off our 2 year project to assist victims from the war in Tigray. Women and girls have been without menstrual hygiene products for’months’ For starters, we will be able to impact 6,000 women/girls for 3 months. The real fun was delivering it
Monkeypox: Males who have s*x with males still constitutes the vast majority of cases. To avoid stigmatization I feel LGTQ leaders have to play a bigger role in disseminating the message about avoiding multiple s*xual partners and be cautious on new partners. Of course, still following women and children with vigilance as well.
