Social Media has a funny way of controlling our lives and making us feel like we have to post. We have to be visibly present consistently to our audience. That’s a lot of pressure and sometimes it can feel like you’re owned by your social media accounts instead of the other way around. So when I find myself feeling pressed to post, I like to give myself a break, a time away from all the posts, all the interaction and obligation to the internet.
This may seem backwards to other people as I hear the saying all the time “content is king”. Content is not my king. Content is optional for me, not mandatory.
During this time I’ll still be working.. I just won’t be as present on social media. I’ll still be available through call/text 🩷 REMEMBER to take a break from this social media world sometimes ☀️

The JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED FACIAL or VAGACIAL utilizes the amazing benefits of Elderberry. From brightening to boosting the skin's immune system to hydrating and softening the skin. This service will appear under the "Seasonal Services" tab on my booking site.
You can select the facial option or the vagacial option. If you would like to book the vagacial option, you will need to have had a wax no more or less than 2 weeks prior to the vagacial service can be performed. As this is a full vagacial including an enzyme, so it cannot be booked the same day as a wax.

YES! I offer peels. No, you will not find them on my menu and here’s why🤔:
Peels are are strong chemicals that removes the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. Some stronger peels offer a more in depth peel, which goes beyond the surface and into the inner layers as well.
With peels being this powerful, it is not something I want to just offer up on my menu, because although I do a skin analysis at your appointment, I do not want to waste either of our time if your skin is not ready for a peel.
Requirements for a peel:
👩🏽🔬An approved home care regimen: I cannot put your skin under this kind of stress without making sure it has the support it needs to recover not worsen.
👩🏽🔬 Already have had a facial with me: it is important for me to be able to understand your skin before applying chemicals to it. A facial helps me to get to know your skin. In some cases it will require multiple enzyme facials to gradually build the skin up to the point of being prepared for a peel. This is case by case and can be discussed at your first appointment.
👩🏽🔬 Have concerns that requires one: too often I have clients say they want a peel and their skin doesn’t require one. A simple change in their home care regimen and dieting can do phenomenal things! In these cases I prefer to go over a plan of action with them so they can at least explore their options before deciding on moving forward with a peel, but as I said before the regimen must be in place before a peel can happen anyway.

Have you ever felt like you didn’t understand what your skin type is? When you spoke with someone regarding your skin you kind of didn’t know what to tell them…
This may be because you have a skin type as well as skin conditions. Your skin type per your genetics may be oily, but your skin’s condition may be different due to the products you’re using.
Example: your skin is genetically oily, but the products you’re using dries out your skin.
This can make your skin appear as dry but underneath the skin’s surface you may find, is congested. So you’re seeing breakouts like black heads on the surface.
In most cases you’ll only fully know your skin by visiting an esthetician. I don’t expect my clients, who haven’t studied the skin, to understand their skin’s type and conditions. I do like to hear from them on what they consider their skin to be, because this helps me understand why they’ve chosen their home care and if their home care may even be the cause of their skin’s condition.

Back acne can be so frustrating. It can make you uncomfortable and insecure when you wear certain apparel.
Here are some options:
🗓 Book a back treatment(appointments available), I recommend every 3-4weeks.
🧤 Exfoliate your back 3-4x a week, using a dry brush or exfoliating gloves.
🧼 Pay attention to your product for pore clogging ingredients. If you notice things like coconut oil, palm oil, Shea butter to name a few, it may not be the best thing for your acne prone areas.
🙋🏽♀️ Consult your esthetician for what may be best for your skin.
🧂Avoid sugar scrubs, opt for spherical shaped bead exfoliant products, such as products with jojoba beads.
As always, have a chat with your esthetician! Your most personalized recommendations will come from your professional.
