Thanks to my family, my WXYZ Detroit colleagues--present and past--and the many friends who for coming together to make my retirement reception in Studio A at Broadcast House one very special evening.
Where to begin?
It has to start with THANK YOU!
Thank you to all who sent emails and messages with good wishes on my retirement and also to our loyal viewers over the decades for your continued support.
What a privilege it has been to call WXYZ-TV and Broadcast House home for 35 of my nearly 44 years in the media business.
It's been a week since the party that I refer to as 'happy madness' that was organized by my colleague and friend, Ross Jones WXYZ, with support of station management. It was most definitely a party to remember in a room filled with family, co-workers, former colleagues, and friends.
It followed a reception in studio A a night earlier hosted by our VP and General Manager Mike Murri.
Thanks to one and all for the wonderful memories! And here's to the start of next chapter!
After 3+ years of not touching a club, it took only a $4 bag of range balls to realize my game was as bad as ever! Ugh!
