IS THERE TRUST IN YOUR WORKPLACE?
When you trust your employees, you empower them to own their success. When they own their success, they can better push through adversity, take responsibility for their performance and results and enhance their own leadership skills. Infectious leadership has a ripple effect; capable leaders develop additional leaders.
I am so thankful to have a team that I can watch grow and be successful in each of their roles. They trust that I have their best interest in mind and give necessary and critical feedback, and I trust that they know when to give upwards feedback and feel safe to express themselves in order to help the team and business be successful.
As a leader, whether you are new to the role or not, your most important action is to take the time to get to know your team. Know what their goals are, what drives them, how they communicate, and even what pushes them away. Know them as well as you would know a friend and you will take most of the guess work out of the equation.

Make sure to take breaks throughout the day. There's always time within the day to take a breather! Don't forget that you are the most important person in your work experience.
