This is a tattoo client PSA because I had a client ask me about putting her dad's ashes into a tattoo ... and here's the answer...
Even tho ashes are clean, they mite pick up bacteria from other things and/or the containers they r in or just the air so it's definitely not 100% safe or sanitary but this is what I recommend because I can sympathize with wanting to have your loved one with you and actually be part of a tattoo to carry with you the rest of your life so here's what to do. There r a few different companies that u can send ashes to that will turn the ashes u send in to them into tattoo ink that is safe and sterile .
While sometimes some artists just mix ashes rite into the ink they would use normally tattoo with its not exactly the best idea because tattoo pigments r mixed in a very specific way with a certain viscosity and adding something like ashes to it will in turn make the ink alot thicker and mite effect the tattoo process or the healing of you new tattoo or could cause the healed tattoo to look dull or aged before its time.

Even if you have very thin skin and it's easily cut or bruised with lots of scar tissue, don't think you can't get tattooed. 😉
