Vibrant blue flower blooms on translucent amber glass stems. Perfect forever flowers for your bud vase. Arrange them how you like, add dried flowers in the mix too for a whole different look.

Get creative!

I made these yesterday in the studio to honor all my flowers that are still blooming in the garden. I cut a few buds and put them in mini vases. I just love having flowers around. And I love having glass flowers around that never wilt or lose their color

It's the funniest thing about artist, you make beautiful pieces of art and celebrate when someone chooses them for their home and at the same time you morn the loss of it gracing your own.

This has been one of my favorites and its been residing on my dinning table where I can admire it daily. Today it gets ready to go cross country to it's new home! I will miss it!

This little girl has the most vibrant, happy, contrasting colors. Her tankini wet suit is a color I blended a year ago for a custom Iris Flower Sculpture. I wish I could remember what I used! I had just enough left for two divers. Then, it's gone!

She is heading to SeattleGlassBlowing next week!

Gosh I Love how this girl turned out! Shes a bit hard to see in a photo but her hair is a dark somewhat translucent red that shines in the sunlight! Her tankini is jet black and her dive tank is a sparkly disco grey. Top that with a vibrant aqua fin and she makes me smile!!

She's so colorful! It's always fun opening the kiln the morning after creating these beauties to see how the color patterns work together. Some I like more than others but, I treasure each one! What do you think about her ponytail?

Conversation With A Seahorse

I wonder what a conversation with a seahorse would be about, hmmm. They've always seemed like sweet creatures just floating amongst the grasses. This scuba girl has come across a rare treasure

I've been selling a lot of Scuba/Snorkel Girls and it's time to restock. I love this girls playfulness. She's diving down to scoop up a beautiful seashell. Her wet suit is transparent blue and it really sparkles in the sunlight!

If you've never paddled around Lake Lure in North Carolina I highly recommend it! Yesterday Nathan and I rented a two-man kayak and paddled around the lake for a few hours. It was so beautiful! Perfect day for it! Sometimes I forget how much I love the water!

The Art Of The Flame

"Glass is one of the most beautifully challenging of all the mediums I have worked with. It's also very addicting. There is something so captivating about the feel of it, at the end of my rod, in its molten state, dancing in the flame of my torch"

I enjoy creating glass sculpture and wearable art that has a sense of movement and balance with a bit of whimsy and a lot of color. All of the art glass that you find here on MorningLightGlass.com has patterns and organic shapes that mimic the world around me. They remind me of something you would find on your way down a path in the woods, along a stream or next to the ocean. They are elegant, unique & one of a kind.

In the early 90's I started using glass as a medium while living on Maui, Hawaii. For more than 20 years Flameworking has taken me on the most delightful, creative journey. I called Maui home until the end of December 2004 when I moved to the mainland, specifically Florida. I owned a small gallery for a few years before moving to South Carolina where I fell in love and met my future husband. We live off the beaten path, in the country among the nature and wildlife I love so much. I find inspiration for my art all around me. It is in the morning dew glistening on the grass, the movement of the river that flows in my back yard, and the intricate patterns of the tiny wild flowers that nestle in the meadow pasture.
