We are all about getting our inventory out for the upcoming Spring Book Sale at Pages On Pine this weekend ... and talk about inventory! Our tables are covered with freshly donated material.

Sale hours are Friday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for our Friends members only. But do not worry. You can buy your membership at the door the day of the sale. Membership lasts a year and gets you some pretty cool perks too.

However, should you prefer not to sign up for membership right now, we are open to everyone on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

So what do you get at our sale? Well, everything is half off. Let us translate what that means:
Adult Hardcover Books are $1
Adult Paperback Books are 50 cents
Toddler Picture Books are 50 cents each
Teen/young reader books $1 for hardcovers and 50 cents for paperback
DVDs and Audio Books are $1
CDs and Albums are 50 cents each
Oh, yes, our Collector's Corner is also half off the asking price of the book.

We look forward to seeing all our regular customers and new faces during this sale. And don't worry if it is raining. We have a cozy store that is the perfect spot to spend a dreary day! Look forward to seeing you all here!

Donations (and our donors) come in all shapes and sizes.
Here are some tips on how to go about making a donation at Pages On Pine:

Please bring your donations on Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. NO SATURDAY DONATIONS.

No more than four boxes may be donated at a time.

Boxes may be placed on a cart at the side of the building. No boxes should be left on the ground. Please contact the staff inside the store if a cart is needed.

In times of inclement weather, we do not put carts outside as books may be damaged. Please note on those days, small donations may come inside the store.

A 24-hours book drop is available for after hours. Please limit the amount of books you place in the drop.

Donations should be only gently used books, magazines, DVDs, CDs and audio books. If possible, please box or bag these materials. No encyclopedias, VHS's, tapes, National Geographics, or textbooks accepted at this time.

We appreciate your understanding of these guidelines, as we aim to keep Pages an organized, well-maintained store for our shoppers.

We're all abuzz here at Pages On Pine and not just because the days are getting longer and -- (dare we say?) -- warmer. We've got several programs on tap that we hope will enhance your life.

The latest is our PoP's Knitters Club that meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. This is a great way to learn a new skill or just enjoy the company of others.

We also host another group called Pop Goes the Writers, which is open to anyone who is working on the next great American novel or simply wants to learn how to write. This group meets the second Thursday of every month at Pages On Pine.

So, come to both or either of these gatherings ... they're free, too, just bring your own supplies. 😁

Letting our valued customers know that Pages On Pine is open in spite of the construction on the road outside our store. We don't have our "Open" sign up due to the paving going on but we are here and our lights are on! Just be careful as trucks are moving along this potion of South Pine Street. Thankfully, they are leaving plenty of room for customers to get in and out of our parking lot.

Just a reminder about tomorrow's Holiday Craft Sale in the Atrium of Spartanburg County Public Libraries Headquarters location. We have over 20 crafters setting up tables for the event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday. This lovely table was set up for a sale years ago so get ready to see lots more of these tomorrow.

We are super excited and are all about supporting all our talented crafters! See you there!

11/01/2023

Time to put away all that Halloween candy and turn your attention to next week's Holiday Craft Sale in the Atrium at Headquarters Library!

We have more than 20 crafters lined up to sell their unique goods (including woodwork, jewelry, crocheted wear, needlework and so much more) on Wednesday, Nov. 8 from11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This is a great way to start all your holiday shopping and believe us when we say there will be plenty of items for everyone on your list! Some of the crafters are equipped to take credit cards but not all of them, so come prepared with that in mind.

And please pass this on to all your friends because there is nothing more special than receiving a handmade gift from local crafters!

Well, it wouldn't be Halloween if something strange and out of the norm didn't happen, right? But unfortunately, the strangeness involved our phones!

At the moment, we are having "technical difficulties" with our landline and cannot receive your phone calls at the moment.

It's a ghastly conundrum to be sure 🤔but we hope to get down to the bones ☠️ of the problem and able to hear you ringing 📞us very soon.

Have a Happy Halloween in the meantime .... Mua ha ha ha ha!

10/31/2023

It's Halloween and we're dressed for the occasion at Pages On Pine! So, swing by wearing your favorite scary costume, pick up a chilling book to read, and enjoy your evening eating candy in front of a crackling fire. Oh, and if the doorbell rings, ignore it. 😜🎃

Our extended Fall Book Sale will be held at Pages On Pine this Saturday, Sept. 30, from 12 to 4 p.m.

Why are we having yet another sale when we already had our annual Fall Book Sale was last week? Glad you asked. As it turned out, a traffic accident up the road left us in the dark without a way to check customers out at the register and without a way to see much of anything for that matter. 😅

Because so many people had to leave empty handed (even those with flashlights) we wanted to give everyone a second chance to go through our extensive inventory.

So, please come by Pages at our usual Saturday hours of 12 to 4 and take advantage of this annual sale -- one more time.

09/23/2023

We’re BACK UP!!!!!!!
