Here are several reason why you need to change the filter: Air quality, energy efficiency, airflow, overheating, fires and to prolong the unit.

Tip of the Week: Repurposing
If you are like me you have a lot of lone socks. They have lost their partner to the sock monster. Instead of throwing them away, use them to dust. Put it on your hand to dust furniture. Put it on a yard stick to dust under the fridge or get cob webs. Use them to dust ceiling fans. Afterwards you can wash and reuse. Happy Cleaning:)

Cleaning Tip: Don't throw out your old used dryer sheets! Recylce them-you can use them to dust anything from TV's to tables. The anti-static chemicals in a dryer sheet will help to repel dust and lint.

Did you know: Your toilet brush can and probably is harboring large quantities of bacteria! A toilet brush is a breeding ground for nasty germs; unless you are disinfecting and letting it air dry after every use. My recommendation is to switch your traditional toilet brush with one with a disposable scrubber. I personally use the Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Toilet Brush. It is easy to use and hangs discreetly on the side of the toilet.

Here is my weekly cleaning tip: A lint roller has many uses other than removing the pet hair from clothing. You can use them on delicate lamp shades, you can use them on your sofa and my best discovery is using them to remove the dust from the felt lined jewelry boxes. This tip is one I use all the time.

Valentines Day is one month away. Don't bother getting your sweetheart flowers or chocolate. What they really want is a clean house. Buy a gift certificate or pre-schedule a cleaning.

Winter is a great time to remove your window screens and deep clean your windows inside and out. You can then store the screen in a plastic garbage bage until spring.
