It's been a while since we've had any vehicles that need an oil change. Don't forget people, your oil is good for 3,000 miles OR 3 months. Don't let your engine suffer! Schedule your oil change before Friday! After that rates go from $30 to $50 for oil change service!

Another carburetor rebuild? You guessed it! This carb was suffering from low fuel output due to old fuel trapped inside. Got her torn down and cleaned up and the carb works beautifully now, despite this cold weather!

First three photos are of a transmission swap we did on a 2005 Mercury Montego. That was so much fun we can't wait for the next one!

The 4th photo is a water pump we did on a 2003 dodge ram 1500. It's got a 5.9 Magnum engine. One of the easiest dodge engines to maintenance, in our opinion.

The 5th photo is of a starter we did on a 2011 Chevy Equinox. Fun fact about the Equinox, they put the starter on the back of their motors now! How crazy is that!

The 6th and 7th photos are of a timing belt/water pump kit we did on a 2000 Honda Accord. Did you know earlier Hondas came with TWO timing belts? One that runs the crank and cam, and a separate one for the balance shafts and the water pump! Boy was that one fun!

The 8th and final photos are of some body work we did on a 2010 Ford Explorer Interceptor. Very nice cars with plenty of power.

2001 Subaru Forester. This was a personal vehicle that was getting very unsafe to drive. The wear on the old CV shafts was very substantial. Popping from the was sounding like gunshots. Only got one of them done before nightfall so the other will be going on tomorrow. Then it's addressing the laundry list of parts the vehicle still needs in order for me to feel comfortable taking it on any sort of out of town trips. If you ever find yourself stranded on the side of the road, we do roadside assistance as well! Can help change, patch, and air up a tire! This awesome gem was found in our tire last night! Be safe out there!

For those of you wondering why your diagnostic might cost more then you think it should. 2011 Infiniti G25 that had a no start issue. We started our diag by checking to see if the vehicle would run on starter fluid. It did, so that lead us to a fuel delivery issue. We checked all sensors and connections, all relays, and even pulled the intake manifold off to make sure the injectors were firing. The only issue we found was a .7v rating coming from the connection on the fuel pump itself. Confirmed it was the fuel pump and got it replaced that day. Customer was satisfied and very excited to drive his vehicle again.

Fridays are for throwbacks and shenanigans here at KMS Auto. This was a very unfortunate thing that happened. Customer complains that they let a buddy drive their car, and it had to be towed home. All crank, no start. Determined it was either no fuel, bad sensors, or no spark, we did everything we could, and when we removed the service portion of the timing cover to replace the camshaft position sensor on his subaru, we found this. Come to find out the ping we were hearing on crank was the pistons hitting the valves. Pro tip, if youre going to let someone borrow your vehicle, make sure we stop by and give it a good once over. This could have been avoided. Customer hadnt had a timing belt service since they bought the vehicle, and even though the belt didnt snap, something horrible did happen

Things are moving right along track with this ZO6. Reinstalled the rack and pinion, the power steering pump and alternator backet today, and bolted the intake the rest of the way down. Customer had misplaced the hardware for the water pump and rack and pinion, and we still have to re-assemble the exhaust. Thankfully they found it all so tomorrow we should be onto final stages. What a beauty this is turning out to be.

Wrapping up this beautfiul 1929 Mercedes Gazelle this weekend. Carb was firing too much and leaking out of everywhere it could, so we did a full breakdown and rebuild. Customer was very happy. On start up the fuel pump housing decided to shatter due to "too much" fuel pressure, even though we confirmed the pressure was right where its supposed to be, the hosuing was just too old and too weak, so we went ahead and replaced it, got everything running perfectly, then discovered fuel was coming out of the dipstick tube, which meant that gas had made its way into the oil, so we have to change the oil and then itll be on to the next project. Our most recent project over here at KMS auto. Customer bought a wrecked co6 z6 corvette and has been giving her all the love she needs. Completed already is a B3 camshaft install, as well as fully ported and polished heads. Custom B3 lifters, rockers, and pushrods, and an MSD Airforce high performance air intake. Next set of performance parts includes a full MSD ignition system, an MSD oil cooler, and an upgraded radiator. Not sure what brand they decided,to go with, but its possibly MSD or Mishimoto. When this customer told us he had great things planned for this absolute MONSTER of an LS7 motor he wasn't lying at all. More pictures to come
