News / Events – Hello for Good Hello for Good would like to encourage you to attend the upcoming community presentation to hear the recommendations for the development of a Regional Collaborative to address homelessness and next steps for our community.
A full house this morning at the Hello for Good symposium. Great talk on mental health/Medicaid legislation and its impact on homelessness, society and our communities.
To address the issues we are seeing on the streets, homes and in communities we need to deal head on with the issues of adequately dealing with the systems that need our supports. Michael Grey from the Treatment Advocacy Center will discuss the barriers and history of the laws that create the barriers.
States need Congress’ help repealing a law that hinders treatment for mental illness Unjust outcomes are why Congress must repeal the IMD exclusion and why advocates are turning up the pressure on state governments to find an answer until Congress acts.

The community is invited to a presentation called “Homelessness and Housing: An Analysis and Discussion of the 2022 Point-in-Time Count in Spokane County” from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, at the renovated Central Library, 906 W. Main Ave.
Speakers include: City Data Scientist Daniel Ramos, Library Community Data Coordinator Shiloh Deitz and Eastern Washington University Researcher Matt Anderson. There will also be a panel discussion and question-and-answer period.
