Jelly's Axolotls

Picked me up some new friends I found last week! 2 Bamboo Shrimp and a Live-Bearer Pike. Very gorgeous, I love the aesthetics of the Bamboo Shrimp and they’re enormous! The pike really caught my eye with its color and temperament, seems semi-timid. Love these additions!

Some adorable pictures of Riven 😍. She’s loving having a big home! Couples things I’ve learned about her is she is not shy, she seems responsive to my presence and interactions in the aquarium. Great personality!

Thank you Shane McPherson for providing a loving home for the last few juvenile axolotls I had left. They were hurt during development and have redeveloped mostly. This is such a beautiful home and makes me extremely happy to know. They will be very happy 🤩

Wanted to share my absolute favorite pic I’ve taken to date. Oryx in all his glorious detail 🤩!

Apologies people for the mild absence, classes have started again so my social media appearance has dwindled, but my drive for my passion still burns true 🤩!
New system all setup in place, I skipped getting another stand and utilized an industrial shelving unit. Very efficient, especially for space requirements.

Wanted to give a big shoutout to Kate Lane for sending me updates on her wonderful aqua buddy she acquired from me a while ago, Jelly's Axolotls. Everybody meet Sisu, a very beautiful Lavender Axolotl 🤩. Love the picture on right, he do a big monch 😁!

I finally got my vinyl and had it installed, it compliments my cards very nicely 🤩! Many thanks to the ones in here (and the ones outside Facebook) who have supported me in this endeavor by finding good homes for these beautiful animals and create something that I put my heart into. With all the support, I’m able to acquire more aquariums and expand my operation 😁. I still have several juveniles left from the insane amount I had a little while ago, but there will be much more to come.

It is with great sadness to say latest spawn of eggs did not survive the new method I was attempting 😭. Lessons learned for future batches. However on a much lighter note I woke up to a whole new spawn the other morning 🤩. Very fascinating how quickly they can reproduce sometimes, while other times it can take months. Looks like I need to acquire another setup now 😅.

Lord Brachus emerges from his realm of floating plants! I ended up getting him a buddy, now I have 2 and don’t know what to name the other 😅

The beans have finally hatched!! I forgot how tiny these guys are at the beginning 😅. Either way they are absolutely adorable 😍!!

All hail Lord Brachus!! The newest addition to the family, a Dinosaur Bichir. He may not be an axolotl, but I fell in love when I saw him at Petsmart and had to bring him home 🤩

Absolutely love these uncommon/rare morphs of axolotls: Copper, Lavender, and Golden Albinos. They have become much more vibrant as they grow 😍.

One the best surprises to wake up to, a whole new batch of eggs 🤩. It’s going to be a while, but I’m anxious to see the morphs! Now to transfer them over to my hatching aquarium. Follow my page for updates on the process and more content from the parents Atheon and Oryx.

Got a new setup put together to help me with getting better pictures of the juvenile’s. Experimented with one of the Golden Albinos and I think the results are amazing 🤩. I’m sure there is still a lot I can learn and improve as time goes on.

The Dapnia are very abundant, ready fill the tummies of the next batch of babies that hatch 😁. I always maintain several cultures in case one crashes (hasn’t happened thankfully). They are mostly self maintained so little effort goes into them, but getting this entire setup started was a challenge but was well worth the effort and time.

Honestly it is a bit difficult to take some amazing pictures, I’ll get better at it with time and figure out some better methods. I messed around with some exposure setting to try to capture the uniqueness of each, but some can be similar to others. For now here are some of my highlight babies. Here is the updated baby tank. Over time the babies developed at different rates with some getting drastically bigger than others, I had to come up with an idea so the smaller ones won’t get picked on or become “chicken nuggets” for the bigger ones. These mesh breeders were an amazing solution to keep them separated by size. Unfortunately a few have becomes victims from the larger ones, but are recovering very nicely now!
