Spokane Regional Hunter/Jumper Series
Spokane’s newest HJ schooling show series, coming 2023. The series caters to all levels of horses and riders - stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks.
Be sure to check out photos from this weekend!! Anna did a beautiful job as always - thank you so much for joining us!
And that’s a WRAP!! HUGE thank you to each and every rider, parent, friend, and so many others that came out today to support our first show of 2024! Riders - you all rode SO well (even with some wild winds and zesty mounts!) and the level of sportsmanship, kindness, and encouragement between friends new and old was so absolutely amazing to see. We truly have the BEST community and we are so grateful to be a part of it!
To those who came and volunteered, you are amazing and we cannot thank you enough!!! You all made a very busy day run smoothly and efficiently. To our judge Robin Bhatia, thank you for spending a long day in the wind with us and for FABULOUS course designing that was the perfect amount of challenge for the first show of the year.
And of course, massive thank you to Amanda and the Monroe Farms LLC team for allowing us to share your fantastic facility for the weekend! Amanda has put SO much work into improvements on the farm, and it shows - we are so grateful to have another wonderful venue locally (and more opportunities for our friends up north!)
Don’t forget to check out Anna Llolyn at Light and Passion Photography for show proofs in the coming days! Anna, thank you SO much for braving the weather with us today, we are so thankful to have your talented eye behind the lens for this show!
If you have photos from today, PLEASE share with us!!! We love to see them all! (And if we can share them on our website, please let us know!)
Thank you all again - we will see you in October! (Or next weekend, for those joining us at Columbia Hunter Jumper Association’s debut!🤪)
The leadline division is underway and our hunters are off and running! Please be ready to go at class start - flat classes will run FIRST in each division and riders not at the gate will be marked as a no-show. Thank you for being ready! 😉
2 to go in our .70 division. .80s have 9 rides, 6 in .90s. Hunters to start at approx. 1pm.
We are 2 of 5 rides done on Class J4! Beautiful sunshine for a show day ☀️See you all soon!
Happy horse show day! We’re finalizing the last few things this morning to kick off the best show day experience, so our first class will be starting at 8:30 AM! Thanks for your understanding!
Still trying to figure out which jumper class is which? No worries - here’s a breakdown of the rules!
*Table II, Section 1 → 1 st is the fastest clear!
This is a speed round, so run like the wind! But please don’t scare your trainer, the goal is to actually go clear.
*Table II, Section 2b → Buzzer
If you go clear in the first round, STOP and WAIT for the buzzer that signals the countdown to start your jump-off. Again, emphasis on waiting for the buzzer!
*Table II, Section 2c → Continue!
This is a power and speed class. The first half is like the first round of of 2a/b, you must have power to go clear. If you are clear in the power, CONTINUE, DON’T STOP, KEEP GOING and ride the speed (jump-off) immediately. If you have any faults in the power (rail/stop) you will be buzzed out before the speed half.
Hunters, you’ll have an A and B course. If you haven’t seen your courses yet, check out our latest posts! Questions? Send us a message and we’ll be happy to help 😎
Happy horse-show eve!!!
We’re a little late on these, but here’s tomorrow’s courses for the Hunters! (Jumpers - see our last post for yours.)
Don’t forget - we are running JUMPERS FIRST at 8:00am. Approximate schedule can be viewed on the entry page, but we will post updates throughout the day so our later classes have a good idea of when to arrive. Hunters will start NO EARLIER THAN 1:00.
Our judge, Robin Bhatia, will be running open cards - if you’d like to ride your courses back-to-back, rather than exiting the arena and waiting until every rider in the class goes, you sure can. Just make sure you let your judge know!
Parents, friends, riders, spectators - if you’ve got some free time and want to help out, we still need extra volunteers throughout the day! If you’re able to jump in as our gate manager, jump crew, or office help, please let Stacie know when you check in (or send us a message!)
See you all tomorrow!!!

Show day is fast approaching! In the meantime, we do have a few rules set to show respect for our host barn, the beautiful Monroe Farms LLC! This is an active breeding and boarding facility that has been gracious enough to let us use their facilities.
1. No dogs allowed - even in your car. Sorry! Insurance makes these rules 😉
2. Please avoid the horses in the chain-link fenced area - especially with your horse.
3. Stallion barn is a small 9 stall barn , no horses allowed.
4. Unless you have a stall, you should not be walking through the main barn with a horse. In general, please be respectful of the private areas on this facility - the more we can stick to the show-specific areas, the better! 😉
5. Warm up arena will be the indoor arena, and we will show in the large outdoor. The dressage court will be open to boarders only.
6. PLEASE - clean up manure from the walkways and driveway!
7. Please do not touch the new foals - moms are protective, and babies are extra-susceptible to germs! (Again, rules apply to the rest of the facility too - please respect the private boarders and other horses!)
8. Please do not lean on or climb the outdoor arena fence.... She's trying to hang on but... barely.. she's old. 🤪
Thank you everyone!
See you Sunday!
Parking info for show weekend! Please remember this facility is a fully operational breeding and boarding facility - please do NOT interact with horses or go explore buildings that are not directly involved with the show 😉
We are SO excited to have this facility opening up to more events this year, as our North Spokane folks are much more limited on options nearby. Here’s to hopefully the first of many shows for this fabulous farm! 😉🤩
Trailer Parking will be out in the back field. We have some broodmares/babies in the chain link fence please do not walk your horses near them.
We also have a few stallions in a separate 9 stall barn that will be marked as well.
Thank you!
We’re beyond thrilled to welcome a fantastic new show to the Spokane area, and hope you’ll join us at MVF in just a few weeks! SRHJ makes the perfect warmup for a step-up to outreach! 😉

COVER PHOTO CONTEST!!
We need a new cover photo to ring in the new SEASON! We’d love to make a collage of our FAVORITE photos of past shows - if you’ve got shots (selfies, professional photos, mom’s flip phone, cave drawing, you name it!) you LOVE from last year, add them in the comments and we’d love to add them to our new cover! Post below by Friday night, and we’ll make a collection this weekend!
NOW - here’s where the contest comes in! Unfortunately, we may not be able to fit EVERY photo you love. Pick a couple favorites, post em, and “like” your favorites from other riders! The top TEN(ish - if we can fit that many!) photos will be used! Good luck!
Happy Spring, riders!! Has this year already flown by for you as fast as it has for us?! Holy SMOKES, we are just a month (and change) away from our first show of the season!!!
We haven’t forgotten about you, don’t you worry - we’re working on finalizing entry forms this week so they’ll be up and running asap!! Ribbons have been ordered, prizes are in the works, and we are SO pumped for another amazing year of showing! We can’t wait to see you all in just a short while, stay tuned for entries!! In the meantime, if you have ANY questions, comments, concerns, what-have-you, don’t hesitate to reach out and shoot us a message any time. See you all soon!

Do you have favorite photos from SRHJ last year you want to highlight? Send them our way! We’re updating our website and socials this month, and we need your help!
If you’ve got a photo you want to share, submit it in the comments or via PM! Photos can be professional or personal - we love both! 📸
(If you don’t have any handy to share, but don’t mind us using your photos, let us know that too - having the photographer as the main media manager means we’ve got a healthy supply on hand! 😉)

Hi all! We’ve gotten a few messages about entries for our October 8 show, but unfortunately, due to the chaos of 2023 and personal circumstances, we have decided to postpone this show until spring 2024. Not only will this allow our team to reorganize after some pretty significant transitions in many aspects, but will allow us to spend the winter developing a plan to bring SRHJ back to you better than ever! We have many exciting things in the works for 2024 and look forward to welcoming you all back at that time. In the meantime, we thank you for your understanding as we navigate through the ups and downs. We are always happy to answer any questions, and will be bringing you 2024 dates soon!
Cheers,
Your SRHJ Team
Throwing out MAJOR KUDOS to Aubrey with JumpStart Training for not only designing these beautiful brow brands; but hand crafting them and donating them to SRHJ as prizes! We can not thank you enough Aubrey for bringing so much pizazz into our horse show series 🌸 we are lucky to have you in this industry.
A HUGE shout out to our group of volunteers! Flying Fish Hunter Jumpers is swiftly becoming known for their positive impact in the PNW horse show scene. They are eager to help and carry kind reflexes that carry through to every rider. THANK YOU Flying Fish Hunter Jumpers for being such a huge impact on our community. We literally couldn’t do this without you and hope to see you at every show that follows ✨
Now comes our highlights✨
A HUGE thank you Pam with Meadow View Farm, Spokane, WA. She worked tirelessly to make sure everyone was taken care and safe in every way. The arena was immaculate for the weather conditions we were working with- she spent time dragging the arena several times to ensure our safety. Pam was up early and out late to create the perfect show environment. Once again, thank you Pam for all your hard work and dedication. This day was made possible because of your kindness and generosity.
First of all, thank you to everyone who made yesterday happen. We could not have done it without our facility owner Pam, volunteers, management, and incredible athletes. I am proud of every one of you.
Horse showing is not for the faint of heart. I got to watch athletes that obviously devoted their lives to their horses, individuals that love their horses more than themselves, and those that have the drive to accomplish anything they set their mind too. I saw mess ups and redu rides, as well as, rides that mirrored the passion both horse and rider carry with them. I saw connection and disconnection. Most importantly, I saw riders living in the moment, loving their sport fiercely, and dedicating themselves to be better for themselves and their horses.
This is not just a sport for us. It’s a lifestyle and I could not be more thankful for every one of you. Thank you for trusting us with your journey through this equestrian life.
Blessings, Katie 🌸
