Hunger Busters 2021
👀 Something RIDICULOUS happened in the last week at SHBC and you just have to know! The 30th Annual Hunger Busters event took place. It’s our opportunity to give back The Union Gospel Mission, an organization that impacts SO many lives in our region. Here’s what happened:
The SHBC family, AWANA(still collecting!), and our Food Pantry brought in 1450 items, easily doubling any past year’s total!
Frontline Youth walked the neighborhood within one mile of the church and collected almost doubled last year’s record. Our generous neighbors donated 5,700 items! 😳
That’s a total of 7,150 items, likely over $20,000 of food!! 🤯🤪 That is RIDICULOUS! 🙌
Go SHBC! Go neighbors! Go God!! 🙌👍🙌
And thanks to ALL who donated. The participants in the UGM’s recovery programs will enjoy it all winter long!
A little context: for 30 years we’ve tracked our number of items collected and it’s always been between 1750 and 3750.
