More than a game: MultiCare brings care and access to Hoopfest
As the official medical provider of Spokane Hoopfest since 2017, MultiCare is proud to care for the thousands of players and spectators who fill the streets of downtown Spokane each year for the world’s largest three-on-three basketball tournament. This year, we took that dedication to physical activity and community even further and teamed up with MultiCare's Mary Bridge Children's Hospital to sponsor 20 teams of elementary and middle school students playing in the weekend-long tournament.

EWU Dental Hygiene Program
The Eastern Washington University Dental Hygiene Clinic provides a space for high-quality, lower cost care and hands-on learning for dental hygiene students. As the only true Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in the state, the program’s students typically have full-time employment lined up before graduating, says Lori Speer, EWU Dental Hygiene department chair and associate professor. Many come from rural, underserved communities and plan to return to those areas to provide dental care, while others are filling needs across the Pacific Northwest.

MultiCare is proud to partner with Big Table of Spokane in their efforts to provide support and resources to the region’s restaurant and hospitality industry workers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant and hospitality industry was one of the hardest hit workforces, but the need for support began long before. Big Table supports individuals in times of crisis, such as financial support for housing, food or household necessities, as well as provides resources for more long-term needs like access to health care services. They partner with care recipients to build connections to ensure everyone is set up for a healthy, successful and stable future.
