Cheeky Updates

Just a little housekeeping. Don't worry I'll do the sweeping.

HOURS
Cheeky will now be open one Saturday per month vs every Saturday. Evening hours have also been changed to closing at 6 pm vs 7 pm. Due to these changes, I highly encourage pre-booking after each visit. Many of you need evenings and weekend reservations. I want to be sure you are able to enjoy your treatments at a time that is best for you. The schedule will open 2 months in advance at a time.

CANCELLATIONS
You may cancel your reservation up to 24 hours prior on the booking site. Cancellations after this time will be charged 100% of the service that was booked. It is extremely hard to fill these reservations in that 24-hour window. Rescheduling under 24 hours will also be charged 100% of the service booked. This policy ensures reservation availability for you and fellow clients. It also ensures I am able to continue to provide the best possible service to all of you.

RESCHEDULING
As stated above reservations are able to be rescheduled prior to 24 hours with no charge. However, if you are a brand new client that I have never treated, and have greater than 3 reschedules- Cheeky may not be the best fit for you as a client. It is extremely important to me that Cheeky is a therapeutic safe place for clients and myself. Alignment and commitment to your skin health are key to this.

CLOSURE
Cheeky will be closed May 9-16. We are taking a week to celebrate our wedding anniversary as well as a post-radiation celebration. I do have an assistant that will be filling orders for mail delivery and pick-up. I have also opened some extra days around this closure to accommodate. Feel free to reach out if I can assist with scheduling.

PERSONAL UPDATES
I am done with radiation at this time. My doctors feel really confident that the treatment should stop the tumor where it is and stall any further growth for up to 10 years, maybe longer. There just isn't really good data after that 10-year mark. I am feeling better and better as the days go on. Fatigue and some persistent headaches and nausea seem to be the residual at this point. But, I have to say compared to the past 2 months, it is sooooo improved. We go back to The Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale in August and do repeat imaging to gauge where we are at in the process.

GRATITUDE
I will never stop being grateful for my clients. I feel honored and fortunate to be chosen by each of you every time you come in. Choosing someone is the highest compliment we can pay, in my opinion. Many of you didn't just choose me but showed up in so many ways to support me before, after, and during radiation. That still brings so much emotion to me. Thank you doesn't seem to be adequate but I am thankful and love you all.

Dermaplaning vs Ti**le Razor

Short version: Professional dermaplaning removes dirt and oil buildup in your hair follicles, which often occurs if you have excess hair on your face. In short, dermaplaning provides much better exfoliation than shaving does. It penetrates deeper to allow your products to absorb vs sit on top of the skin.

Ti**le razors are jagged, multi use (every blade dulls after 1 use), spread bacteria causing texture issues at best, and your products will still sit on top of the skin due to a lack of exfoliation.
