Mandy's Adventurous 40's

It's mid-morning nap time for my coworker. Working from home my supervisors come and go keeping a close eye on me, but sure do take a lot of "breaks".

I found a new gym in North Carolina and a fantastic trainer. The move was quiet and quick, but we're settling in well and getting into a routine. I will be adding lots of new stuff soon and sharing what I'm up to.

I've been working hard on a healthier weight and strength level for the past year. Buying a dress for a wedding recently was so much fun....getting it three sizes smaller than the dresses I purged recently from closet was an even better feeling.

One year apart and still on my journey. 💜

The struggle is real some days. I love not having an alarm clock. How fo you get yourself going in the morning?

Post gym pics are silly and fun. I snapped this and then almost squealed, "What is that?" Shoulder and arms are developing! It was a great arm workout day. Let's see how cardio treats me tomorrow.

Pretty much summing up the first portion of my day. I organized my goals for the week, updated my planner and did my October budget. Sunday is self care day. What are you doing today to better your mental, physical and or spiritual health?
I'm enjoying some Netflix binging today.

My sewing machine has been busy this week cranking out custom orders and also Fall/ Halloween masks. Fashion this year has taken a whole new meaning. Lipstick sales are down and nail polish sales are sky high! Masks are another way we're able to let our personalities shine. Rock those awesome mask designs, everyone! 💜

At work, home, with family and in relationships we've all experienced this. Perceptions cloud our minds sometimes to not seeing someone else's point of view even if it reasonable.

One of my hustles is Poshmark. This is another stream of income for me. As an entrepreneur I balance many micro businesses on a daily basis.

This has been paramount to learning to find happiness in any situation. 2020 has been a year of personal growth for me.

I enjoy time with fellow entrepreneurs learning about new products and how to continue building my small Girl Boss Empire! Each of my streams of income are fun and flexible with my life.

Two weeks with my trainer and seeing results! One very happy girl!

Sunday morning play time.

This is life... Everyone not able to get into their gym, what tools are you using to stick to a workout routine?

Sometimes you just need a smoothie to end the day. Chocolate flavored protein shake with frozen raspberries added. Yummy!

Thrifting and lifting are steps to achieving my biggest goals currently. I'm growing as a business owner and as a woman of strength. No weekends off for a girl chasing her dreams into reality.

I like living a little dangerously. Do you reset the odometer knowing exactly how far you can push it, or keep the tank topped off?

When you do a little retail arbitrage on the way from from the gym.....creating an hour of work to get it listed.

When your item is photographing beautifully. Such a terrific pair of boots. Another item added to my Poshmark closet.

So I've had bouncing around my head the idea of learning to run this year just to see if I have the "runner's spirit". Okay, so 10 seconds in I knew this was NOT for me. Everything jars with each step. I'm already half broken. My coordination is not enough to take up jogging. I looked like a Jello Jiggler, I'm sure. 🤣 So if you ever see me run.....run with me because it's a life or death situation.

Yesterday's haul thrifted was 20 pieces of clothing for Poshmark. Today's work was cataloguing, prepping, photographing and listing. I did make a good dent in it. I am learning so much each day and it's fun.

Working out is not fun....but the results make you stronger, healthier and a happier person.
