Before relocating to Southwest, MO in 2012, Sarah Griggs grew up in the rolling hills of Oklahoma in Osage County at the end of an old dirt road called Thistle Lane. She spent her childhood taking care of animals, riding horses, hiking and exploring the hills, trails, creeks, bluffs, and abandoned railroad tracks on our family's land. She was fascinated with history and imagined stories of the people who lived there in the not-so-distant past. This has provided her with a strong connection and passion for nature and the beauty and stories in the details that are often overlooked.
Life in the country contributed to Sarahβs interest in art at a young age. Growing up next door to her grandparents, Sarahβs grandmother taught her how to paint. Since then, Sarah has taught herself many different art forms from drawing and painting to cake and cookie decorating and beaded jewelry. Sarah is passionate about the hands-on craft of creating physical art and she loves texture! Most recently, sheβs delved back into jewelry making with polymer clay, having a blast with this light and versatile medium and its endless creative possibilities.

Linda May is a watercolor artist who has recently embarked on her watercolor career in the last two years. Having spent over 30 years as a successful hairstylist, Linda found a new way to wield her paintbrush, discovering that her love for the garden was a wonderful source of inspiration. Just as in a garden, where surprises abound for those who look a little deeper, Linda incorporates a hidden key and/or scripture within each of her pieces. This invites the viewer to take a closer look into what she refers to as her 'Watercolors of Life'.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Belmont University in 2018, Grace Huckfeldt made her way back home to Springfield, MO, and created Art Untamed LLC. She continues to produce work that gives animals a voice in a world focused on human needs, as well as pieces that helps us learn from the "untamed" lives of the wild. Within her business, she focuses on functional ceramics for you and your furry family members, along with paintings that vary from custom pet portraits to abstract works of animals.

Linda Passeri of Moon City Arts learned brush work in a sign shop, from older painters who did their best to pass on techniques for rendering letters, pictorials, and flourishes. The style she refers to as "Psychedelic Nouveau" is a result and a mix of those early influences. Linda creates poster-like compositions with flowing borders and layer acrylic paint to achieve the saturated colors. She is attending Art of the Ozarks with original paintings, prints, holiday cards, and a limited amount of her βSill Sisters.β

Jamie Quirk has been a textile artist working in Springfield since 2010. Jamieβs work merges the familiarity of quilted fabrics mixed with modern design. Color and movement play essential roles in Jamieβs work as she pushes the boundaries of what is possible through intuition. Her minimalist design includes bold colors and strong shapes that play off her organic quilted backgrounds. Inspired by improvisational quilting, her blocks are designed without traditional building rules such as pattern, rulers, and precise measurements. Her work celebrates the replacement of designing through form and intention, with intuition and fluidity. To find out more, follow her Instagram .

The kimono is more than a robe. Like the zen garden it is an integral part in Japanese culture. During Theresa Gallup's 7 years living in Japan, she came to value the craftsmanship and highly decorated fabrics that go into making a kimono. But times and fashions change. Even the finest garments can become surplus. When she returned to the U.S., her inner artist and home economics teacher tried to find a way to breathe new life into these beautiful robes. Combining kimono silk and other fine fabrics, she handcrafted one-of-a-kind wearable items for the North American market. Theresa's work has been featured in gift shops and catalogs of the Smithsonian Institution. The care and craftsmanship she uses in producing fashions make them perfect to give as gifts or to add to your own wardrobe.

Every day is Earth Day in Marciaβs studio! As a former florist, Marcia has always loved vivid colors and beautiful things. This is expressed through her infatuation with textiles. Her upcycled original designed wearable art combines all of these things. Using various previously loved fabric and textiles, she creates one of a kind jackets, obi belts, and vests. This helps keep things from going in landfills. Her techniques include serging with exposed seams to add to the aesthetics of the garment. The play between the colors, patterns, and textures are an integral part of the uniqueness of each design. Rounding out her work are vividly dyed scarves and jackets bringing a pop of color to anyoneβs wardrobe.
