Happy International Women’s Day. Talk about strong, confident women… Local 37 Professional Fire Fighters hit the recruit Jackpot with Rachel Wisner. She is finishing up her rookie year as a fire fighter. “About 2 1/2 years ago, someone asked me, “Have you ever thought about applying for the fire department?” And now I have the best job in the world. I know I’m doing what I’m supposed to do for the rest of my life. My favorite part of the job so far is when little girls see me as a fire fighter and their eyes light up because they see someone that they could be in the future. It’s the greatest feeling ever!”
