Logo done for Beauty By Briana
šæ
Thanks again for showing your support, one of the main reasons why I went through with this challenge, the other is to become the best.
Here is all 30 in one on both black and white, my favorite book where I got the inspirations from, and the quick sketches I did for each logo. I also included the background noise I used during this š
Season 2???
#30 Autark 1940ās by Walter Herdeg.
Love how clean the original looks without so much color. It also reminded me of a Chief head for some reason. Plenty of designs like this out there but none done by me! With a little bit more time I could clean up some areas but Iām not mad at where I stopped.
BOOM! 1-1.5hrs a day for 30 days = 30 logos. One more post coming soon and the final animation to officially end this challenge. Thanks for all the support and I canāt wait to start the next one!
#29 Bund der deutschen Gebrauchsgraphiker (German Designers Association) 1920.
Thought this was a cool presentation of a logo contest from the 1920ās. Also interesting that when I first glanced at this the second logo at the top is where my eyes gravitated towards first. That one was actually the winner and Carl* Schulpigās design was used up until the 1960ās!
So yeah I just based this design around the contest.
#28 Gothic masonās marks used sometime in the 13th century, I thinkā¦ but have been found in tombs and other ancient structures dating back as far as 2000 BC!
Using the same process this is what my mark would look like.
#27 Spinner 1953 by Anton Stankowski.
Xenial (adj) Used to describe a friendly relationship between two parties.
The S in the spinner logo was one of the better letters to use with the middle missing and the rest making out the corners of a square. C, G, J, L, O, P, Q, Z are a few others that would have worked in this style, and the hardest one out of the bunch and of course the one I chose was X.
I chose X because words that start with X are rare and only make up around 0.02 of words in the dictionary. I felt it deserved some love and with a nice word like xenial.

#25 English First 1993 by Paul Rand.
I had to think of something fast so I didnāt miss today lol Hi šš¼
abc, IBM, UPS, Ford, are just a few logos designed by the legendary Paul Rand! I even think Eminems logo was inspired by his Enron logo. I didnāt want to choose any of these major brands yet cause Iām saving those for another season so I went with his English First logo which I thought was pretty cool and designed the year I was born lol
My version can use a bit more of a slant as well as the lines a tiny bit thicker and the middle circle a little smaller. It was an interesting process to get to this result and I got stumped on clipping elipses out of the letters. Turns out I just needed to create outlines out of them and clip them out of each letter separately to get the cleanest result. š¤¦š»āāļø

#24 Life Magazine 1978 by anonymous.
The Life Magazine logo has always stuck out to me. Thereās just something about it that draws my attention every time whether that be the big blocky letters, the word life, or possibly how it almost perfectly fills a rectangle. Itās easy to read at any size, color, texture or pattern and is very memorableā¦ at least for meā¦itās not for everybody!
#23 Dunlop Footwear 1960ās by Kenneth Lamble.
Yeah so I tried at first to do this logo the way the Dunlop one was but mine ended up going in a totally different direction but still inspired by it. Iām beginning to really love cutting things out of solid color shapes so I couldnāt help but do it with the Python too. Plus the gun shape looks way better filled in than it did as an outline, kind of looked awkward.
My services list so far. Iām sure Iām missing some stuff as I am consistently learning new skills and getting better everyday.
#22 GBTA Briard 1971 by Jean Delaunay.
Another white on black and I also made it transparent because I thought it was better that way. Pretty satisfied with this outcome and the simple shapes it took to make.
#21 Hugo Boss 1968 by anonymous.
Although they use a different logo today and it fits their brand really well, I canāt help but love this one from 1968 with the O looking like a suit with a bow tie. I thought it was a clever move, but imagine not getting credit for it!? Shoutout to that person!
For my attempt I used the word fire cause Iām sick of this cold.

#19 Riva & Mariani 1969 by Alfredo Troisi.
I will try to stay away from my brand/initials for the remainder of this challenge I just canāt help it lol Next time I do this I will have at least companies and names planned out š
So far my biggest challenges have been the three dimensional designs. Even if one line is slightly off it effects the whole design and looks less cleanā¦ at least I always notice, but now I know what Iāll be practicing a lot more of.
#18 H. Te Laake 1967 by Bruno K. Wiese.
Solid Mula be the gang.

#17 Dimension 1960ās by Franz Wagner.
This was the hardest one yet and I did the best I could with the time given. Decided to use Theory as an example since I was just talking to the owner recently and I needed a 9 letter word. I learned that scaling sucks in illustrator and would have been easier on photoshop but I wasnt gonna start over.
#17
A couple throwaway pieces I designed for a cover which will be released soon.
Not always gonna get it right the first time, which is the beauty behind collaborations and the ideas that come out of them. Although these are far from what the final cover looks like, I still found the blue one grabbing my attention whenever I see it. Reminds me of the beach.
#16 City College 1969 by Peter van Delft.
Another example of negative space and my initials of course. This one was challenging to sketch as you can see by my attempts. It was a lot easier to execute on Illustrator most likely because I was using two different letters instead of the same two. But whatās a challenge without a challenge.
#15 Promusel 1983 by Jose Santamarina.
Halfway through the challenge! 15 more to go.
This R was challenging especially trying to figure out which style of R to use. I donāt necessarily think the one I designed flows as well as the P but itās pretty close and can be worked out further to look even cleaner. Almost missed today so Iām satisfied to where I got it.

#14 Immobiliare 1973 by Rinaldo Cutini.
Ehhh the .3 I donāt think really worked. Two letters would have been better to fill a square but it still made an interesting design. I loved the use of negative space in the original logo allowing the viewers eyes to fill in the blanks.
#13 Deutscher Shallplattenclub 1961 by Wolf D Zimmerman.
Canāt go wrong with the classic vinyl to represent music. I might use it as a brand icon on menus and flyers for cover art.
Collaboration with MacWay on the Solid4L cover.

#10 Spectralite 1968 by Harry Bowler & Jean Morin.
I can see why Harry and Jean went with a yield sign. Fits perfect, rounded corners, and a way better shaped S. I wanted to see how a stop sign would look cause you know Sā¦.Stop Sign.
#9 Horacio Duran 1971 by Ernesto Lehfeld.
This logo seems as if itās an optical illusion, sometimes I see the J up front but most of the time itās the R. If I was able to close the left side of the J like the H in the original then it might work better.
Literature is dope.

#8 AT&T 1969 by Saul Bass.
I never knew Saul Bass did this logo and so long ago too! I tried to go as simple as the bell but had to add more details to make it look like a mic.
#7 Aoki Printing 1979 by Yoshikatsu Tami.
ā i ā donāt knowā¦ The hardest part about this challenge is coming up with a design with no actual brand behind it and very little time to sketch it out. This forces me to use the first idea that comes to mind but itās training me to think quickly and design faster. So far so good until I reach burnout of course.
For this logo I randomly chose a lowercase ā i ā and this was my result. I think it can be interpreted a few ways like a pawn in the game sorry, a woman with a dress, a road and the sun, maybe a fortune cookie? Lol what do you think?
This would be my āsignatureā model. I wonder how the gradient would look on an actual board or if it would even work? It still will look good with solid colors but I would rather it this way.
