Routes for the 2024 Capital City Century Now Available

We're excited to release the routes for the 2024 Capital City Century! All routes start and finish at the Sherman Athletic Club. You'll turn onto the Heritage Route 66 Multi-Use Trail and make your way to the first rest stop at Williamsville Community Park. 20-mile and 12-mile riders will then return via the trail, while the 40-, 62-, and 100-milers will head out into the country.

Prefer to use a paper map to navigate? We've got you covered! Maps with turn-by-turn instructions will be available at packet pickup on Friday, September 13th or the morning of Saturday, September 14.

We will mark the routes the week prior to the ride and make any last-minute changes at that time. Information about route marking will also be emailed to all riders.

Remember the Pink Chaise?????
If you rode the CCC in 2023, you may remember the Pink Chaise, brainchild of one of our organizers, Chris. Our riders had a lot of fun getting memorable pics at this fine piece of furniture. The Chaise has been resting quietly in chris's basement since last fall, gathering energy for another day of cycling fun. We think we've got a great spot for the Chaise this year and hope you'll stop to get a souvenir pic!

The routes are being finalized and we expect to publish GPS files this week. For 2024, distance options are 12 miles, 20 miles, 40 miles, 62 miles and 100 miles. What do all these routes have in common? They all start and finish on the Heritage Route 66 Multiuse Trail in Sherman, IL. We're 40 days out from the 2024 Capital City Century! Registration price will increase on September 1st, so don't wait too long to sign up. Prefer to wait until the morning of? No problem, we'll have "day of" registration as well.

Are you planning to order a CCC event jersey? Order yours by July 14 to allow enough time to have it in time for the ride on September 14th! Orders placed after July 14th may not arrive in time for the Capital City Century.
Jerseys are made in Wisconsin by Borah Teamwear and offer two cuts -- a "race" cut and a looser club cut.
We'll have a limited supply of jerseys (club cut only) available for purchase at packet pickup, and the team store will be open for one week following the Capital City Century.

Online registration for the 2023 Capital City Century will be open until 11:59 PM, Friday, September 8th. You can register the morning of the ride from 7-9 AM. Cash or check only, and the price will increase!

Not everyone uses GPS to navigate and even those who do sometimes get lost. Next week our crews will be out marking every turn on over 400 miles to keep you on track. Colors will be:
12-Mile Family Ride - Orange
20-Mile - Blue
40-Mile - Red
51-Mile "Groad" - Pink
63-Mile - Pink
100 / 125 Mile - Yellow (the 125 milers will complete an extra loop out of Middletown that will be marked with Orange arrows)
