UPDATE: Billy has a sponsor and his adoption fee is now just $22.00. Our class clown and so much fun! Help us share Billy so he can find his forever home! He is an approx 2 year pit terrier mix looking for love. He weighs 66 pounds. He is super sweet, loving and playful. He has done well with most other dogs at our shelter but we always recommend bringing your dog to make sure it's a good match. He is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped. His adoption is $22.00 thanks to a generous donor which includes his 2023 dog license. The Clark County SPCA is located at 21 Walter St. Springfield, OH 45506 and our hours of operation are 4-7 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We are closed Wednesday and Sunday. Saturday our shelter is typically open from 12-3 pm, along with an adoption event at Petsmart on Bechtle Ave in Springfield from 11-2pm on some Saturdays. We go by the first approved applicant at our shelter/ event on each pet. We require meeting with any pet before we accept any applications. Please share his post to help his new family find him.
Good afternoon to all of our Facebook Family! Can we talk a little about Billy? Can each of you take just 1 second to share this post? Please. He’s been at our shelter for months now and was at the wardens before coming to us. Billy knows commands and keeps his kennel pretty clean. He is getting so stressed out being in a kennel so much. He gets to go out and play twice everyday. He gets walks from our amazing CTC Veterinary Science students, staff and volunteers. It’s time we came together as a family and helped this boy find his forever home. Billy gets super wound up when he comes out of the kennel at first …. He’s so happy to be with people and he starts mouthing on you trying to play BUT he’s a great dog once he’s out and has a few minutes to unwind and play. He knows commands and just absolutely loves attention. He would do absolutely wonderful with a family with teenagers to walk him and play with him. He needs to be in an alpha home where he won’t be allowed to take charge as he is still very much a pup at 2 years old and will run you over if allowed. Once he is settled, he will be your best friend, most loyal companion and forever grateful to his saviors. He has been sponsored, so his adoption fee is just $22.
