Sunday, we celebrated not just our first Father’s Day without Pete, but two other very special occasions – Pete & Peggy’s anniversary AND the birthday of a truly remarkable man.

Pete’s goofiness, kindness, and unwavering love has shaped our family in countless ways. I wish we could thank you for all the love and support you've given us over the years. You’ve taught us the importance of family, the value of hard work, and the joy of living life to the fullest. Your legacy is one of love, generosity, and resilience. I know you’re looking down flipping us off for using Facebook to market the barbershop, but I hope you are proud regardless!

We miss you and I know all the clients at the barbershop miss you too!

It is with mixed emotions that I share some updates about The Cut Above Barbershop, that my grandfather, Pete Winnenberg, owned for most of his life. As some of you may know, my grandfather passed away recently in a tragic car accident, leaving behind a loving family and a legacy of exceptional service and warm camaraderie at The Cut Above.

After much reflection and with the support of our family and the barbers who worked with my grandpa for many years (Judy, Kelly, Lori, and Ebony), I am honored to announce that Maddie and I will be taking ownership of The Cut Above. While I deeply miss my grandfather and his presence in our lives, and I know the barbershop will never be the same without him, I am committed to continuing his tradition of excellence and acceptance and ensuring that our barbershop remains a cherished part of our family and community. Be on the lookout as we clean up and update the barbershop to make it an even more comfortable space for our clients.

In this new chapter, we are also excited to welcome new barbers to our team. (Tom Lyons will be joining us Monday.) We are currently hiring skilled barbers who share our passion for quality haircuts and outstanding customer service.
