Everyone said NOO don’t do black paint in a small room… 🤷‍♀️it’s only paint.. if ya don’t like it paint over it!!!

We painted the upper part of the walls black, did white wainscoting on the bottom portion of the walls,12x24 white tiles behind the sink and toilet, white grout, black circle shaped mirror to break up all the square , black and glass lighting and a neutral wood vanity… i love all the shine mixed with the rustic vanity !

A cozy day

I am patiently waiting for football 🏈 to start but I am super excited to have my sister and niece out for the weekend. We attempted to go bowling last night but there was an hour and a half wait… I was SO prepared to beat her!!! Today we are relaxing by the fire with snacks and a spiral ham in the oven for later…

The month of the “lull” period decorating continues….

I decided to go with a vintage look this time. This is made in a reclaimed wood bread bowl with 3 candles (with remote) dried flowers and a few wood flowers thrown in for texture… oh and it’s 28 inches long.. perfect for a dining room table or a sofa table.

This week we are talking about table decor/centerpieces for that “lull” between the holidays and spring.
What I love about this centerpiece is that it can be left out year round. It is made in a 30 inch dough bowl so if you have a long dining room table it will be perfect!! I love the avocados, berries and leafy green pieces…

A little about my journey

My name is Trisha , I am happily married and have 3 sons, a daughter in law and 3 granddaughters. I met my husband in 2001 and quickly knew he was the one when he graciously took on a teen, a tween and a toddler when most people including me would have run… he has no biological children of his own. I moved from the Boston area to western MA where we bought a house and started the task of making it a home. I had remodeled a house before but my husband Barry always lived in apartments. Our first night in the house the toddler decided to bring a truck into the one and only bathroom...well I’ll let you fill in the blanks of what happened, I thought Barry was going to bolt when I told him he needed to take the toilet off and snake it out. Until then he had only flushed a toilet never taken one apart lol....he is now a pro. We have since remodeled the entire house, even adding on additions...he still doesn’t love it but he goes with it for me because he knows I LOVE IT! He once came home from work to a cloud of sheet rock dust...yes...I ripped out a wall while he was at work and was finishing up the sanding when he walked in.

HOW I CAME TO DRESS THE TABLE

I have always loved decorating....next to Football I am always watching HGTV. Dream job would be to flip a house again. I have repainted the rooms in my house so many times and changed my decorating style. I am a hairstylist by trade so I think that's where I get my ability to see color and put things together. After years of doing this my sister Ellen (my biggest fan) gave me a gentle nudge ..or should I say a push so I finally decided to put my work out there. I started Dress The Table to help the working class, soccer mom that just don’t have the time or the woman who have a vision but just need some help putting it all together. My reclaimed wood centerpieces are made for all seasons and can be customized to any color or theme you choose. No two are exactly the same. They make GREAT gifts for housewarming parties, Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthday, or wedding centerpieces. I’ve already decided when I sell my house I am making one to leave for the new owners.
