As the weather here in Michigan gets colder and colder I’m thinking warm, spring time thoughts haha, and these ladies absolutely killed last years spring shoot 💗

Hello my lovelies! It’s me, Krista, or as some of you may know me more simply as, Owner + Photographer here at The Blue Soul Company.

I thought it was time I share a little more of me on here. Not just physically, although you will be seeing more of that as well. 😉
I never know truly where to start with “introducing” myself on here, but let’s start with some of things that make my soul feel whole in this wonderful little life of mine.
I’m a pup momma to my beautiful rescue Pit-bull terrier, Bobo! We found each other, or more like Bobo found me, when I was working my first career as a first responder in January of 2022 🐾
I’ve been a first responder for 5+ years and although I absolutely love what I get to do in helping people with that particular work, photography is my DREAM. My passion + purpose. I think it’s something particularly special that I got to experience some of the most disheartening moments in people’s lives, and now I get to capture all the best. This is a childhood dream come true + I get to share it with all of you.
This last year has been nothing less than remarkable, and I know 2024 is going to bring just as many and MORE challenges, connections, and experiences as 2023.
With our studio opening in March as a creative space for more than just photography, I cannot wait for all we will create this year with all of you.
With that being said, I want to say thank you to everyone who’s been with me this last year and following my journey. I couldn’t be more grateful for the support I have from all of you here!

Starting our Halloween week out HOT with these hauntingly beautiful shots of Jess + Dan 🕸️📸🎞️

When Jess first messaged me and asked me to shoot this “cottage-core” couples session I had no idea how magical this session was truly going to be. Despite having a lack of sunlight lol we still captured some amazing shots and I want to thank these two for trusting me with capturing their love yet again, a true treat as always 🍂👻🤍

Speaking of treats Blue Soul Photography will be hosting fall mini sessions 11/18 @ Yates Cider Mill starting at 2:00pm with 30 minute slots until 6/6:30! There will be cider + donuts for you & your loved ones as well as a possible leaf pile for all my littles and anyone feeling like having a little fun🍂🍁 These sessions are open for family, couple, & individual slots! (Message me for slot availability + watch future posts for more mini days coming up!!!)

Last but not least if anyone would like to book any holiday sessions NOW is the time to start doing so!!!🎄✨📸

I’ll have outdoor and indoor sessions available as well as travel events!! I have been severely slacking on sharing my work on social media recently, but this session NEEDS a highlight. With 3 sets and outfit changes it was extremely hard to choose just a few images to share, so definitely expect some more later this week😉🎂📸

This shoot was special for so so so many reasons but here are my top 3:

•I got FULL creative freedom, full trust from my client to deliver a beautifully designed + unique set just for her!!! From props, location, to complete sets I had an absolute blast planning this session! Thank you again , you were truly a pleasure + you looked stunning if I do say so myself!!!

•This was a gift!!! My client purchased these images/this session as a gift for her boyfriends birthday! Getting to be apart of peoples lives in those little inbetween moments & in the big ways is something I never could’ve imagined, and it’s such a beautiful feeling. I’m beyond grateful. 🤍

•I got to collaborate with local entrepreneurs + businesses I’ve been so excited to work with!!! (So of course I created a reason when given the opportunity!) I want to thank for the incredible studio space in Pontiac, MI. which ended up being ridiculously close for my client to get too! Definitely ideal. I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to in Sterling Heights. Although they NEVER disappoint, they have outdone themselves with this cake! It was absolutely stunning + I can’t wait to work with you in the future.
P.S. It tasted better than it looked, if that’s even possible 😉😂🎂

With summer getting closer & the weather getting nicer I’m reminded of just how fast time flies. From the seasons of each year to the seasons of our lives we’re reminded daily to hold on to the present moment… to cherish the sunshine that always fades to grey & the memories we can’t recreate with the ones we love most. With that being said I’m hosting 2 days of Mother’s Day mini sessions to capture those beautiful timeless memories with all my mommas & their minis 🤍
These sessions are outdoor sessions but I will have my wicker chair with me as well!!! There’s a stunning willow tree I plan on utilizing 🤍 These sessions are designed to be fun & playful with your minis while capturing all those little details about RIGHT NOW in your lives. They won’t be this small forever… but maybe they can be 😉📸🤍
