Did you know that your credit score when you apply for an auto loan is different from your credit score when you apply for a credit card, which is also different from your credit score when you apply for a home loan?

This may sound a little crazy and honestly a bit confusing, but it’s true.

The reason for this is because there are industry-specific scorecards. The way your credit score is calculated for an auto loan is different from how it’s calculated when you apply for a credit card.

If you have a repossession on your credit report that is going to affect your credit score for an auto loan a lot more than it would affect your credit score if you were applying for a credit card.

Removing inquiries and late payments aren’t going to help you qualify for a mortgage as much as removing a foreclosure would.

Keep in mind it's not your credit score that's the ultimate deciding factor!

Your credit file is more important than your score. I've had clients with a 780 be denied for something my client with a 680 was approved for.

Having a nice credit mix is what adds girth to a thin credit file. Lenders want to see how you're able to manage both before they take a chance on you.

The question I get next alot of the time is "well how am I supposed to show I know how to manage credit if no one will give me a chance?"

You have to crawl before you walk grasshopper 😅

The bureaus have gotten smarter. The whole AU thing isn't as simple as it used to be. Being the primary on a tradeline is essential!

But no worries, I left a few places that will approve you in the comment along with a link to a guide that will help if you have no credit at all

So here’s the gist of how it happened 👇🏽

👉🏽 Started with an MLM, realized I can do sooo much more for my clients than what was being offered. The glass ceilings weren’t flattering for me

👉🏽 Launched my own credit repair business, my baby, Chain Breakers Financial. I was able to maintain the same low rates but provide much better service on a broader spectrum.

I realized the majority of my clients coming through my program wanted to repair their credit for homeownership or business so…

👉🏽 I studied for/obtained my IL Mortgage Loan Origination License & am currently working towards adding a few more states

👉🏽 Enrolled in a course for legitimate business credit

At this point my company can not only repair your credit & build business credit, but provide you with the knowledge and resources to obtain your first mortgage. Whether it be through myself or someone else.
