HELLO SWEET FRIENDS!!
We have some exciting news to share…..we are expecting!🎉 Baby yogi (😂) joining our tribe next February!

That is why I have 1,000,000% been off the radar. I don’t feel confident in my ability to provide safe prenatal yoga yetttt. That being said, next month I am starting a prenatal yoga certification course, and I think the experience while pregnant will be amazing! I’ve wanted to serve mommas by providing support and community through movement. Power of Presence classes will be paused until further notice, but stick around! I can’t wait to return with more knowledge for you guys. 🧘‍♀️ Thanks for being here from the beginning. You’ve blessed me more than you know!💕

04/09/2021

Hey folks! A little glimpse into life & POP vision casting. Please read 🥰

First off, I apologize for being a little radio silent recently. There has been a lot of processing and transition going on in my little corner of the world. We are gearing up to move houses in the next month, have a friend moving in with us in a few weeks and recently I found out the day of my dad’s upcoming memorial. I started this biz just about a month before he passed, so it’s all been a bit of a bizarre ride where I have had to have loads of grace on myself. This photo is from me going on a solo hike bringing it all to the Lord. He’s so kind to give us life wisdom when we slow down and ask.

I knew that starting a business would be trial and error, seeing what works and doesn’t work. So, a few things I’m thinking on:
1. Switching my zoom class to 11 am, potentially on Thursday. I’ve been on a hormone and nutrition journey, and realized that I haven’t been eating before my 8 am class. That means my body (and yours too if you workout pre-food) was actually running on stress hormones and breaking down muscle because it was hungry. I’m all about changing in light of new information + want my yoga to serve me and you, not harm.
2. Starting a live class every other week on Tuesday evenings, 6-7 pm (most likely outdoor at carondolet park). My heart truly longs for personal connection-that’s why I started this thing. This would start most likely late May + early June! It’s in south city, pretty close to South county!
3. Putting together mini series ranging 20-30 minutes on a specific topic (some focused on a biblical topic, others based on giving a specific part of your body some love..low back love, gentle vinyasa, power flows etc). I would make those mini courses available on a website tbd.

Thank you for being here and growing with me. If you have been following along, I would love love love for you to go to my stories and vote in the polls. I want to know how this info sits with you, and if you think you could make the times work 🤩 So much love for you all.💕

As I prepare to go on a much needed vacation, I’m reminded that we are such complex people. We have to tend to our hearts, our minds, our bodies and our souls. As we approach a year of this crazy world, I wanted to do a soul check in. A gentle reminder: This past year has been taxing at best, devastating at worst. The mental load, endless debates and opinions has taken more of a toll than I think we realize. You have permission to process-to bring it before the Lord. You probably missed out on things, and I’m so sorry. You deserve to be celebrated for all the small and big wins/life accomplishments. Take a moment to swipe through these slides. Think about the good and the bad. What things can you actually control (hello fruit of the spirit series). After you’ve processed, take a day off. Just be. Do something for you-let that soul come alive again. If you need a listening ear: I’m here. If you need therapy-DO IT. You’re no less for that-doing the work is hard, yet worth it. Drop a 💕if you’d like prayer this week. Blessed to run with y’all. -Kel

This week we are focusing on GOODNESS. In class, we read Psalm 34:1-14. What stuck out to me, was the word “seek.” Seeking requires action. “Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.” I challenge you to intentionally meet with the Lord this week. Seek Him and the fruit of your life will be more and more Christ-like.
❄️Movement of the week: Cobra! Start laying flat on your stomach, hands next to your pecs (elbows stay close to your body). On an inhale, press into your p***c bone and tops of your feet. Lift your chest, keeping your neck in alignment with your spine. As you do this, think “those who look to Him are radiant. Their faces are never covered with shame” Psalm 34: 5. Exhale back to the floor- “I am clear and focused. I will seek.” Do this a few times with your breath. Option to straighten through the arms, lifting your legs off the floor and pressing into the tops of your feet. *No hunchback shoulders here. (Apply thieves before for extra support👇)
❄️Spotlight oil: thieves! Apply thieves oil on your saliva glands. (Under your ear, right where your jawline starts). This oil is linked with the emotion of feeling uncertain. After you apply, declare “I am clear and focused.” This is linked with you taking the action of seeking the Lord. *These declarations come from the book “Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils.”
❄️Diffuser blend: thieves and lemon! Cleanses the air, promotes joy, and is great for cold weather support.
❄️Journal prompts on the last slide.
❄️Lockscreen in today’s story. Screenshot it and use it this week! Tag us so we can see 😍
❄️Next week’s class is all about “faithfulness.” Our goal is to have 4 new faces this month. We have had two so far. Who is joining next?!💕🙌🏻

Friday foundations: diving into downward facing dog🐶
Hey guys! Last week, we broke down cobra pose. To continue our sun salutation foundations:
🧘‍♀️ Downdog how-to: from cobra, tuck your toes and press into the palms. On an exhale, send your hips up and back, melting your heart down. Remember to keep your shoulders looped on your back body, and space between your shoulders and ears. Keep extension through the spine, and an active pushing into the fingerprints.
🧘‍♀️ Pose benefits: stretches shoulders and backs of legs. Down dog strengthens your arms and legs. It becomes a resting pose the more you practice!
🧘‍♀️ Beginner modifications: Remember, form over perfection. It’s okay to start this pose with a light bend in the knees, and your heels up. As you gain more flexibility, heels will get closer and closer to the floor.
🧘‍♀️ Want some heat/strengthening?: From down dog, come to a high plank, keep a strong core (channel tabletop spine) and let your knees hover over the ground. Inhale back up to down dog. Repeat as desired. Each exhale: go to plank and hover/kiss, inhale up.

This week’s zoom class and bonuses are focused on the PEACE of the Holy Spirit. Praying for you lovelies to encounter true peace and rest this week. Our focus will be on Philippians 4-that peace would guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 🙌🏻Grab some peace and calming or Stressaway oil, and I’ll see you on the mat in the morning! 😍 Link in bio to register 🤗

Friyay Foundations! 🎉
🧘‍♀️Baby cobra: starting flat on your belly, palms next to pecks, rise on an inhale. Press into your p***c bone and tops of the feet. Elbows stay close to body the whole time. Keep your neck in alignment with you spine, shoulders looped and chest open. Don’t power press into this palms, instead let your back muscles do most of the lifting. Strengthens back and glutes!
🧘‍♀️ Cobra: go through Chaturanga, and body roll of sorts into full cobra, lifting your head as you lift your chest. Make sure to untuck the toes and keep your naval up and in. Don’t collapse into the shoulder blades, instead find your chest open. Greatttt stretch for post ab workout!

Friends or family with a yogi? 🧘‍♀️
Here are some last minute ideas they are sure to love! If you’d like to gift oils, let’s chat! A sweet/free love gift could be to watch their kiddos to give them a bit of self-care time! What would YOU add to the list?!

12/17/2020

Here’s a quick check-list for goal setting (as a follow up of yesterday’s post!). Give it a read and comment any tips/goal-setting revelations you have had below.

1. Does it reflect your values?
2. Will it make your life happier?
3. Is it sustainable?
4. Is it based in wanting to grow or fixing yourself?
5. If it’s fixing yourself? If yes, back to step one.

New Years is approaching! It’s the time for reflection and casting vision. Often…it’s time for WORK OUT EVERY DAY, FAIL, QUIT. That is not sustainable, and it doesn’t get you to where you want to be. SO: how do you set a goal? First, remember that goals serve YOU, you. don’t. serve. goals.

Think about your values. Write them down. Then check if a proposed goal reflects your values.

Goals should make you happy! I set a goal this year to read 25 books and hike 30 times. I knew that I didn’t feel fulfilled after Netflix binge-ing and always felt accomplished after finishing a book. And sunshine just makes me happy. BUT, if you are finding yourself stressed by the state of your house, a daily 5 minute tidy could be a baby-step goal. It may not be fun, but helps overall mental well-being.

Sustainability. You aren’t a machine! Set a few goals, make them attainable. If you haven’t worked out at all this year, 5x a week is a huge leap! Check out your schedule and your capacity, and go from there. I’m all about underpromise overdeliver here. It makes you feel like a success, and you can always reevaluate!

Goals are about growth, not fixing. You aren’t a project. If you are setting a goal that has anything to do with earning love, BACK AWAY. If its rooted in getting a better body because you loathe yours, back away. Find a goal rooted in self-love. Tangent: I did a makeup fast for an indefinite period of time until I liked my face without it. I knew I reached my goal when I looked in the mirror and thought I was pretty makeup-less. Now ya girl is rocking a bare face 90% of the time ha.

LET’S ENGAGE: What are some goals you are looking to set for next year? What makes you happy? Post this to your stories to get the conversation rolling (almost at 100 followers, ay!), and don’t forget to tag

I am here because I want YOU to thrive. Over the years, I have found I’m deeply connected to myself when I’m on the mat. It’s not natural for me to just sit and meditate. On the mat, I have showed myself time and time again that I am worth showing up for. I have learned to have grace on myself for things “I can’t do” yet-reminding myself: I. Am. Growing.
This year has been action packed. I have switched careers, had my first anniversary, my dad pass..along with so much more. I am such a feeler, and have felt the highest highs and the lowest lows. I’ve invested in yoga certification, counseling, inner healing and natural medicine.
I just wanted to remind you that growth is not linear. You are allowed to feel all the emotions, and then release them. It is OKAY to grieve. Tears are healing. I felt God whisper “Once you see that you yourself are not the mess, I will be right by your side to help you pick it up.”
You are never alone. You are not a project. Keep that in mind as New Years resolutions kick in. Be kind to yourself! I’d love to talk to you more about goal-setting if you’re interested. It’s healthy to want to grow. It’s healthy to want to heal! It is not healthy to beat yourself up for not being perfect. This year I slowed down and “did” a lot less. I know my future kids will be benefit from the heart work that has gone down between me and God. Hey, and I read way more books and hiked way more times than the year before. I almosttttt hit my 30 hikes goal. And it’s okay that I didn’t. Getting in the sunshine intentionally for those 28 hikes calmed my soul and connected me with my Father.
If you notice some areas the Lord is highlighting, lean in. Ask Him what a goal looks like. Ask Him what would make your heart the most whole, and don’t bother going demon hunting or shame spiraling in all your mess or “deficiencies.” You have all you need in Him. Breathe. Rest. Connect to God and your heart.

(Zoom) Advent yoga is in the morning! 8-8:30 am CST. We will be focusing on Luke 15. Join us 😍

12/08/2020

Cramps quite literally cramping your style? Me too! So I remembered Legally Blonde: endorphins make you happy!

Try these yoga poses and find some relief. I added these in my Advent Yoga this morning, and I felt better after!🙌🏻

1. Bound Angle Pose: make sure to sit up tall
2. Reclined Bound Angle
3. Head to knee gate prep
4. Pigeon variation: this opens the hips! It will probably have a lot of sensation, but if you feel actual pain, stretch your hips another way.
5. Happy baby!
