There are 12,000 people on this page, and not one person has raised a weary hand to save this handsome boy hanging on by a thread, wanting to live. You are too wrapped up in life to let your Guard down and try to do the right thing? People look at life so differently. It’s called keeping up with the Joneses? “I bought a $50,000 car a person says to a friend, “oh,mine was only $55,000 but I got special wheels.” Another friend stated that his car was bought used for$11,000” perfect for when I rescue a dog from a kill shelter.” His friends were speechless. “Why would you want to save a dirty dog from the pound?” “We as humans failed them he said to his friend. We placed no value on their life. They were sent to animal control, some miraculously getting a second chance for a new family.” Most of these animals are killed after 5 days.” They are disposable because the law is lax and do not enforce animal laws. After all, they are just dogs.”” So if I can even save 1 in its lifetime, I feel my time on earth was all for naught.” A “50,000 car makes you no better than me and saving a useless mutt makes me no better than you. But there is not enough money in the world that that pups new family would give, including a $55000 car to have to miss the chance of giving a living creature another chance at life.

I am but one. I have no available Foster’s. I have no friends who feel the need to be a rescue hero. I have few friends that can not make a decission on their own when a spouse is involved. I cannot tag this dog because he has no vetting in order to get him into boarding. I have a request to see if I can pull off a miracle and get this pup out of the shelter, to a vet and a safe place to rest a weary war torn body. His skin is bright red and bleeding because of allergies and high temps. He is f Ing miserable with no rest. My mind says move on but my heart says how can you let him suffer. I am begging a responsible person to help change this dogs life for the better and give him a second chance at love from mankind. I am willing to pay someone to foster him so much per month until we can get him healthy enough to get him adopted. I will pay for all his vetting but you must be dedicated, have a fenced yard. He must be allowed to stay in home.

Foster or adopter needed!

Meet Calvin Calhound! He’s a 3 year old hound mix weighing around 55 pounds. He was found as a stray in rural SEMO and brought into rescue. Unfortunately, Calvin had been shot and needed his front leg amputated, but that doesn’t slow him down. He’s a happy-go-lucky guy who enjoys snuggling his human. We feel Calvin would do best in a home with someone single as he becomes very attached to one person. He does fine with his foster dog siblings, but would be ok as an only dog. Calvin does not do well with cats because of his prey drive. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and on preventatives. Calvin is crate trained, rides great in the car and is treat motivated. He will need an experienced adopter who will continue to work on his manners and one who has a fenced yard. If you would like to be considered for adoption please fill out an application.

This adorable 3-4 month old little girl Daisy is still looking for her forever home! We are not sure of her breed, could be husky mix or Aussie mix. (We did not see the parents and without dna test there is no way to know for sure!) she is small, around 10 pounds. These two girls were dumped at my job and are needing rescue. They are so skinny and likely never had vetting. I am guessing them around 6 months old. Both are very friendly and do well with other dogs. They did fine when they saw my cats for a short time. Unfortunately they stressed my dog out too much and are having to stay in a friend's yard so I am only able to check on them every morning and evening. They are very respectful of the fence and stay close when they are let out of the yard. Both are fairly small, I wouldn't guess more than 20 lbs right now and about knee height. We are located in Potosi but can transport. Please let me know if you have any ability to help these girls! Thanks!
