🌶️ Dancer - Julia Heiss, Saint Louis Balletd

What an honor to be asked to photograph the premiere of , a full-length fairy tale ballet created in memory of Raffaella Stroik. This project was a monumental effort, put on by her family, as and the entire production was full of Raffaella’s friends from Saint Louis Ballet, Indiana University, Southold Dance Theatre and more.
They were able to create a brand new story, with original choreography & music (played by the South Bend Symphony), and brand new sets and costumes.

What a beautiful way to remember a dancer and person unlike any other. To know Raffaella was to love her instantly, and the warmth and love that radiated from her was quite honestly unlike any other person I’ve met before. .

Our annual shoot with the graduating dancers from COCA (Center of Creative Arts)’s Pre-Professional dance companies. These students are are so talented and it has been a pleasure working with them - some of these particular students several times over the years. All the best to all of you in your futures!

Something to be proud of for sure! 🌺 Kate started ballet later in life, and at 40 decided to treat herself and celebrate her birthday, and her hard work, with a creative session. 💪👏

A few Audition Season highlights! Thanks to everyone who got audition images this season! It’s so fun seeing everyone’s growth year after year. We are still available for last minute sessions.

Busy Season = Running Behind. This one was a doozy in the best way possible. 💫 When Kirven told us he wanted “atmospheric Afro-Futurism” for his new piece, “Mother”, the wheels started turning a mile a minute. We are normally fairly minimalist in our look, but this was a really fun departure into pulling out all the bells and whistles in one very intricate image. This final shot consists of 5 individual dancer images, composited with multiple layers of background image elements, and added atmosphere (there is actually no AI used in this shot - everything is pulled from our own images).
