A few weeks ago, nine of our students embarked on a cultural immersion and service trip to the Northern Cheyenne reservation in Montana. They completed 45 hours of community service as counselors at an environmental camp with the Northern Cheyenne Boys and Girls Club in Lame Deer, MT. The students had the opportunity to learn about Cheyenne traditions, solar energy, and native plays, see roaming buffalo, and live in a community, making meals for each other every night! 🌲
Since 1924, inspired by the pioneering spirit of the Sisters of Loretto, Nerinx Hall has been dedicated to empowering women. We strive to offer each young woman a supportive community of faith, encouraging every individual to make a meaningful impact guided by the Loretto values of faith, community, justice, and respect 💚
This summer, a group of our students had the incredible opportunity to attend a Tropical Ecology and Conservation Trip to Belize. They snorkeled to conduct marine research, assisted in reef clean-up projects, utilized field research techniques to study bats, analyzed water quality, and participated in various other hands-on learning experiences. Many thanks to our faculty, Liz Clyne '93 and Tim DiMartino, for chaperoning the trip, and we cannot wait to hear more about your time in Belize! 🪸🔬
