For 46 years, Hubbard Street has been one of the most original forces in contemporary dance – bringing top choreographers and works to Chicago and beyond. To date, the main company has performed globally in 19 countries and 44 U.S. states. For the festival, Hubbard Street is performing Rena Butler's "Aguas Que Van, Quieren Volver." Butler is a 2019 Princess Grace Foundation Award for Choreography recipient. She was also the featured cover story for Dance Magazine‘s November 2021 issue. In a 2023 preview, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Artistic Director Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell described the work: “It’s intense and beautiful and seductive in a way.
