In today’s episode of , for some reason I got Mateo his own kids cup WITH A TOP when I should’ve just let him drink my water and spill it all down the front of him instead 😅

(He also likes syrup touching his eggs so I’m not sure he’s actually my kid 🤔)

Today’s win: I’ve survived 100% of my bad days 🤍.

I was inspired yesterday to be transparent about motherhood. In the last couple of years I’ve found myself acknowledging the fact I’m really raising people 😅 as beautiful & rewarding as it can be, it’s also terrifying, frustrating, exhausting, and just about any emotion you can think of, I’ve likely felt it being a mom.

At 33, I’m way more thoughtful about the way I parent, and that includes overthinking just about everything I do. “How will this affect them in the future”, “This method of parenting, or this one”, “am I instilling the right things?”, “are they eating too much red dye #40??”….so many things lol

Despite a gap in age, Ma’Jaia & Mateo are so close and they love each other SO much. Watching her be a big sister warms my heart. Everyday I actively see how the things I’ve instilled in MJ have stuck and translated to how amazing she is with her brother, how kind she can be, how patient she tries to be in the moments where I’m visibly overwhelmed with Mateo’s toddler chaos, I probably don’t acknowledge enough that I’ve really did a good job and man do I have an amazing, kind, thoughtful kid. Then there’s Matty, he makes me laugh everyday because he’s learning the world and amazed by everything. He is a happy boy who loves to laugh, talks A LOT, and thinks he needs to live IN my skin. Full transparency, It can be smothering because it’s mommy and only mommy when he decides he doesn’t want to deal with anyone else ( & that’s more often than not right now, even though he LOVES his daddy) But it’s beautiful how he loves me unconditionally, and I really am his comfort zone.

A young girl asked me for advice the other day because she wanted a family. She thought being a mom was rainbows and sunshine. & it has its times of rainbows and sunshine, but it’s also an active tornado, and a whole lot of staying on your toes lol. No two people have ever loved me more in my life. Being a mom is work, and it’s not for the faint of heart but it is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. & being a mom has made me exactly who I’m meant to be 💛.

Because baby if it’s one thing MJ learned from her mama it’s to work the room 🤪😂

MJ had a blast at her first game Friday and really enjoyed recording dunk videos in slow motion, meeting her new favorite player , watching the ladies cheer/dance, and meeting Evelyn Magley - the first woman to own a professional mens sports league and the CEO of TBL 😍 Getting to know her and her vision for the league was definitely a highlight of my night!

If you haven’t been to a game yet I suggest you follow them and catch a game soon. Those boys can ball and the games are a good time, especially for families!

I participated in a breastfeeding photoshoot over the summer to commemorate not only being a breastfeeding mom ( and BOY if you’ve been one or know one you KNOW it comes with a lot of pieces ) but my last baby I’ll ever breastfeed.

I still have videos in my phone of Mateo having a hard time latching. I can remember the moments like yesterday and I’m sure does too. I pushed thru bleeding ni***es 😩, a baby that would just fall asleep as soon as he latched, and mastitis 😮‍💨. Now that we are on our way to weaning I’ll always cherish these pics of my two babies that I fed and comforted with everything I had in me.. literally 😅😂.

I can’t believe Mateo is 1 today🥹🫣. I have no idea how time can move fast and slow at the same time, but not at all surprised Mateo is the one that figured it out.

The difference between him and his sister is night n’ day and having a boy is really as crazy as everyone said 😅🫣😂 but loving him and being his mommy makes my heart smile and I’m so so grateful.
